It was a pretty good week for me and this week is starting off well. I’m taking some really cheap offers too – cleaning house to make room for the good stuff!08/10/2017 at 4:43 pm in reply to: What Sells On eBay: Models, Pipe Stand, LL Bean shirt, Teva sandals, & a couple Facebook Marketplace sales #21639I haven’t posted any of my sold items in a while, so here are a few favorites from the last couple of weeks.
Antique Coleman Poultry Lantern – My biggest sale ever! I bought this at a yard sale for $80 (big money for me) and sold it within 2 days of listing for $975!
Ridiculous (and sort of awesome) Vintage Amateur Painting – I think I paid about $1 for this 2-3 years ago. It finally sold for $90. I knew somebody wanted him!
Vintage Mormon Flannel Board Bible Stories – Paid $2 for the whole lot at a school rummage sale and sold for $100.
Discontinued Schleich Toy Horse – Got this at a church sale for 25 cents and sold it for $19.99. I love Schleich toys and they always sell. Not huge sales but they are great, high quality toys and they sell well …especially if they are discontinued. I also sold a 3-piece set of huskies from the same sale for $25.

Money spent on new inventory this week: $158.57A great week considering I haven’t done any listing for probably 2 weeks. I feel like sales are really starting to pick up again, and hoping it carries into the fall. I’ve had a couple difficult customers this week, but I think (hope), I’ve got them all straightened out.
Also, we had a whopper of a yard sale this weekend and unloaded some stuff that I’d bought for eBay and decided wasn’t worth much as well as tons of our own stuff that wasn’t really eBay material. It was a lot of work, but we made over $1100 in one day, so it was well worth it!

Money spent on new inventory this week: $7.00Super stoked to make my biggest sale EVER this week! I think I mentioned the Coleman lantern a few weeks ago when I bought it, and finally got it up last week. I listed it for $1200, hoping to get at least $1000 and got a bunch of offers right away, mostly around $300-$500. But then this guy came with an offer of $975. Close enough!
We were traveling Thursday through Monday, and little things kept selling all weekend. That is such a great feeling!
Oh, and I am also a huge fan of lists. I’ve been known to write something I already did on my list, just so I can cross it off! (Haha – that part might not be helping me much!)
It is pretty small and actually pretty clean, but I might spruce it up a bit. Thanks!
Thanks for the advice …kind of what I suspected. I just did a burn test, and it is wool, so that’s good news. I’ll check some solds for southwest style wool rugs and see what happens!

I can’t even imagine what you are going through. Good luck with everything and know that you are in my thoughts. Please keep us updated on how you’re doing.

Money spent on new inventory this week: $23.75I didn’t sell a lot last week, but my average price sold was great! We have one more little vacation coming up, and then I’ll have some time to really crack down on the listings and get ready for fall. I love nothing more than vacation, but I’m ready to get to work!

Money spent on new inventory this week: $27.75We are taking lots of little trips this month, almost back to back, packing in the summer fun. It’s been great, but I think eBay is feeling it a bit. I’m still selling, and this week was better, but I’m looking forward to more time to list. We are headed out again tomorrow, so hopefully I’ll find some cool thrift stores along the way!

Money spent on new inventory this week: $65.00Sales were pretty good this week and I’m trying to work on listing anything that might be back to school related (backpacks and stuff), and thinking I should probably get on the fall stuff. Hard to do when it’s 100 degrees every day!
I’ve recently been trying some social networking for eBay, and so far it doesn’t seem to be making much difference. But yesterday I put a few items on Twitter and got quite a few retweets, so maybe it will help. Does anyone have any luck with this? Does Twitter, Pinterest, or Facebook seem to help? Or maybe it’s hard to tell…

Average price sold: $20.97
International Sales: 1
Returns – 1 (for size)
Money spent on new inventory this week: $48.39Lots of little sales again this week (even a couple of $5 sales!), but at least I’m getting rid of some of that little stuff. I’ve been taking lots of pretty low offers too. I’ve had lots of offers, but few really good ones.
The camp stools that I sold went to the creative department of a major outdoor retailer, so that was pretty cool. I knew somebody wanted them!
Also, I keep saying I am not going to sell women’s clothing anymore, because they always seem to get returned, but then I came across a sale with a bunch of nice jeans for 50 cents each. How could I resist?! I bought them all!

Money spent on new inventory this week: $111.90I’ve been listing quite a bit this week, trying to get back on track and in the groove. Sales picked up once I got listing. I also put some old stuff on sale for 50% off, and have sold a couple of those things, so I suppose it’s working!
The highlight of my week, was one great find. I got an antique Coleman lantern that is about 100 years old. It’s the most I’ve ever paid for a single resale item ($80), but I’m hoping it will also be my biggest sale ever. I’ve seen two that sold, and there are none listed. One went for about $600 and one for just under $1000. I haven’t listed it yet because I want to do it right and I know nothing about this stuff. If there are any Coleman experts out there, give me a shout!
06/11/2017 at 9:02 pm in reply to: What Sells On eBay: Prince & Wendy picks, Engineer boots, Coleman Cooler, Video switcher, Jeanie Rub massager #19283I’m a bit late posting this week, but I had to show off my sweet hat sale!
Vintage Levi’s Hat – Bought it at an estate sale for 50 cents and sold it the same day (within 5 minutes) for $250! I wish it was always so easy!
http://www.ebay.com/itm/332249263602Temple of the Dog Poster – Paid about 5 cents for it and sold it for $120. But this one was heartbreaking. It got crushed in the mail! I sent it in a very sturdy poster mailing tube, as always, and without insurance. Ugh. The guy was mad, and I was sad. Oh well. I’m having him send it back anyway because I think I can still get something out of it wrinkled.

Returns: Who knows. I’ve had way too many lately! I think I had one or two (with three in the works!)
Money spent on new inventory this week: $14.50This week was pretty lame, but I’m sure it was in large part because I haven’t listed much (I’ve had two extra kids staying here for the last 2 weeks!). I did sell several hats since hats were about all I listed. At least that’s working! Hopefully I can crack down again in a few days. Can’t wait to listen tonight!
