Yes! I sold a set of B. Kliban cat sheets a while back for I think $100. It was just used pillowcases and a flat sheet, not even a complete set.

Money spent on new inventory this week: $0.94Barney videos …who knew?! They sold overnight, so that was pretty cool. I also sold one other Barney video on its own for $25. This was a pretty awesome week for me, so I’m hoping it keeps up!
Today I’m working on sorting slides. I got a bunch from the 1950s and 60s, including quite a few from the 1962 World’s Fair in Seattle. Very cool. If anyone has any tips on photographing or listing them, they would be appreciated. I might have to listen to the old podcast about slides again now that I have some!

Money spent on new inventory this week: $25.72Well, this is it. Saturday was my last day in my full time supervisory position at work. I stepped down, so now I am OFFICIALLY a scavenger by trade! I’ll still work there once a week or so, but eBay is pretty much it, so the pressure’s on. Here we goooooo!
01/29/2017 at 12:46 pm in reply to: Scavenger Life Episode 294: Finding the Valuable Caches and Going All In #11358Wow, great sale! I generally don’t spend time looking through books (not my thing), but I’ll be sure to keep and eye out for these. I know books can be big sellers, so I really should try to learn some more about what sells.

Money spent on new inventory this week: 001/19/2017 at 3:25 pm in reply to: Scavenger Life Episode 293: How To Hire Your First Employee #10713It was part of a huge lot of posters I bought a couple years ago. I paid $5 or $10 for all of them and I’ve made over $3000 on them. I dread the day that they run out!
01/19/2017 at 2:58 pm in reply to: Scavenger Life Episode 293: How To Hire Your First Employee #10709Thanks! I had a huge price on it, but really didn’t expect to get nearly that much, so I was pretty happy with their offer.

Money spent on new inventory this week: $60.77This was a pretty good week! I listed a bunch of postcards recently and they’ve been selling pretty quickly. I had a hard time pricing them, so maybe I priced them a little too low, but it’s nice to have them moving. And a great poster sale really helped too. Since I sell a lot of posters, I’m always scavenging for mailing tubes, and I have a hard time finding them for free or cheap (I prefer the round tubes to the free triangular tubes you can get from USPS). But last week I called the movie theater to see if they had any they were tossing out. Just a few days later, they gave me a whole box of them! Might be something to look into for any of you that use them.

Money spent on new inventory this week: $10.01This was a pretty decent week for me, but mostly low dollar items. Hey, I’ll take it! Working on listing as much as possible this week to get my numbers built back up. I really didn’t list anything during December, as I was too busy with work and holiday stuff, so I dipped way down, but I’m climbing back up.
Now for the exciting news! At the end of this month, I’ll be stepping down from my full-time position at work to go (almost) full-time on eBay and work about 1 day a week at my job. I’m not making that much at eBay at this point, but I’m hoping that with a lot more time to focus on it, I can increase my numbers and my sales to make up for it. At any rate, it will be amazing to work on my own schedule and have a lot more time with my kids while they are still little. Still crazy to think about it since I’ve done the same job for YEARS, but for once I’m doing something bold! Wish me luck!
And now, I shall listen and LIST!

Money Spent on New Inventory This Week: $12.50
This was my best week ever! It has been so slow through the holidays, that this was definitely exciting! I sold a few higher priced items, which really helped. My faves were a vintage USPS hat that sold for $99.99 and a set of vintage cat sheets (minus the fitted sheet) that also sold for $99.99. I also went to an estate sale, which is kind of rare this time of year. Don’t think I’ve ever been to one with a bunch of snow on the ground before! Now I just need to find a few minutes to list, as I picked up some pretty good “gifty” items.11/29/2016 at 10:28 am in reply to: Scavenger Life Episode 286: Black Friday, Just Another Day on eBay #681911/20 – 11/26

Money Spent on New Inventory This Week: 0Things picked up slightly this week, but my run of returns and unpaid items continues. Not sure what’s going on, but I hope people start paying up soon! This upcoming week was one of my best last year, so I’ve got my fingers crossed!

Money spent on new inventory this week: 0I haven’t posted my numbers in a couple of weeks, but it has been sloooow. Really hoping the holidays pick up! No time to list, so I’m sure that’s part of it. I’ve also had a lot of refunds lately (a lot more than I’m use to anyway). I had 2 returns last week, a damaged item the previous week (probably my fault), and a canceled order yesterday. Also a couple of unpaid items recently. Ouch! But I’ll keep after it and list if I find a spare moment. Can’t wait to listen tonight!

Average price sold: $28.90

Returns: 1 ( Shoes that apparently didn’t have the correct insoles and then fell apart the first time worn. Ugh! They looked a little rough, but I definitely wouldn’t have listed if I’d thought they were that bad! I just took her word for it and refunded the whole thing and let her keep them. Bummer!)
Money spent on new inventory this week: $23.00Hello! Sarah here! Decided to use my store name for the new forum (which is great, by the way).
I didn’t include it in my numbers, but I also sold a fire helmet last week for $100 that unfortunately hasn’t been paid for. It’s been 3 days with no word so I just opened a case. But the good news is that I found a GREAT estate sale this weekend and bought tons of stuff. The lady was an eBay seller/collector/maybe hoarder and her family was liquidating everything for way cheap. Lots of good stuff. They apparently had several buildings to sort through, so they haven’t touched a lot of it. Looking forward to part two in the spring!
