Thanks @AF! That was the nudge I needed – I just found an obituary for Katharine (Kitty) Van Meter Sadock and judging by the contents of the obituary, this has go to be her!
Thanks so much for your help
I am so happy things turn out okay for you this time, but I promise you one day you will get negative feedback AND THE WORLD WILL KEEP TURNING.
You did everything right, but occasionally negative feedback happens. So don’t sweat it too much.
I’d cancel the order and provide a refund. If shipping wasn’t included in the price of the sale, then don’t refund the shipping cost.
Go ahead and re-list the item and let the buyer know they can buy again.
Thanks for the explanation, perhaps my use of the word “tone” was too harsh. I was just confused as to what the issue was. Thanks for explaining and sharing. I love this community.
I don’t understand the tone of this post. What possible reason would you NOT want your items to advertised on sites outside of eBay?
Annoying, but not really a change. In the time before managed payments, PayPal assed their fee on the total sale including tax. So now rather than PayPal collecting, eBay collects. Part of this is the cost of accepting credit card payments. For example, when you go to Walmart and use your credit card, Walmart pays the credit card company their fee based on the total sale.
It’s the cost of banking.
Wow I love this guy. Such an anti-guru. Just a milq-toast dude who isn’t bragging and just laying out information.
07/09/2021 at 1:43 pm in reply to: No more leaving Automatic Feedback since changing store…Bummer. #89605I think it relates to how much you are listing. I am not proposing a “feed the beast” conspiracy. Rather, when I am listing like crazy about 1/3rd of my items sell with in 2 weeks 1/3rd sell with in 60 days and then the other 1/3rd are super long tail items. If you stop listing you can expect to lose that fresh batch.
And again, I don’t think this is agolrthym magic. Canceling and re-listing doesn’t do anything.
07/09/2021 at 9:33 am in reply to: No more leaving Automatic Feedback since changing store…Bummer. #89601Even with the fee they will charge me to switch, I know realize it’s more cost effective to switch from a premium store to a Basic Store. No more where I look I eBay, I can’t find a detailed listing of what features I will be giving up by dropping selling manager pro. Can anyone find a list of specific bullet points.
Here is the best page I can find and it’s not great.

I don’t give automatic feedback and while I have templates set up, I seldom use them. @jay which store are you subscribed to?
Thanks Eliza-bee that was it and I was under valued! I Just kicked up the price.
Thanks all
An item is worth what someone will pay for it at specific moment in time.
If there are no other 1967 Monkees sweat shirts for right now, consider the item priceless.
The Prince of Dubai may very well be a Monkees fan and $500.00 is nothing to him.
List for $500.00 with best offer (again assuming there aren’t 20 others available) and see what happens.
Well whatever it is, clearly its going to be long-tail.
Thanks for heading down the rabbit hole but I can’t read the price info? What was the average sale?
Soap keeps surprisingly well. I had a huge lot of 1990s Sunlite soap branded for South Africa. I sold those one bar at a time for an entire year (not sure how much that was related to the pandemic but sales were pretty steady even after hoarding stopped).
Soap keeps, but if it’s very very old, I would think that people would buy it to collect and put on display.
I don’t ask why anymore.
06/11/2021 at 9:03 am in reply to: Final Value Fees Incorrect ; eBay Store Seller & Managed Payments #89257I just received a fee fee credits for “billing errors”. I did not contact eBay to make adjustments on these, so it looks like they caught the mistake and are correcting.
