I recently downgraded my store to a basic store, as Ebay changed the rules recently and I wanted to save on fees.
I’d been leaving feedback automatically for several years and now I guess that’s over.
With the Premium store, I was also getting Selling Manage Pro, which enabled me to leave feedback automatically.
If there is a simple fix, for this, I’d love to hear it.
Thanks all..

Yeah, I don’t see a work around: https://www.ebay.com/sub/subscriptions
Selling Manager Pro is an extra $15.99: “An online selling tool that you can use to manage listings, track sales, and perform common post-sales tasks.”
How many items do you sell per month?

Hi Jay,
I don’t sell many items at all anymore. My listings are down to 1400, of which less than 1000 are being counted against my free listings, so the move to downgrade was a welcome one.
The extra $15.99 is probably not worth it for me.
I’ll probably just log in every couple of weeks or so to leave feedback.
Thanks for responding

I was sad about this also @so-cal-joe but I’m loving the savings of the cheaper store, so I’m begrudgingly doing it manually about once a week. I have a similar-sized store as you. So it is isn’t too unmanageable.

Even with the fee they will charge me to switch, I know realize it’s more cost effective to switch from a premium store to a Basic Store. No more where I look I eBay, I can’t find a detailed listing of what features I will be giving up by dropping selling manager pro. Can anyone find a list of specific bullet points.
Here is the best page I can find and it’s not great.

I don’t give automatic feedback and while I have templates set up, I seldom use them. @jay which store are you subscribed to?

We have the Premiere subscription. Mainly because it covers all our listing fees in the most frugal way possible.
Has anyone else seen a drop in sales when they downgraded store subscriptions? Could; just be coincidence with the summer (and our own personal lack of recent listing).

I think it relates to how much you are listing. I am not proposing a “feed the beast” conspiracy. Rather, when I am listing like crazy about 1/3rd of my items sell with in 2 weeks 1/3rd sell with in 60 days and then the other 1/3rd are super long tail items. If you stop listing you can expect to lose that fresh batch.
And again, I don’t think this is agolrthym magic. Canceling and re-listing doesn’t do anything.

My level head agrees with you. After the initial popular items get purchased, then its all just long tail items. We still sell $100 a day of weird, strange items we got for $1. Cant complain too much.

I bought a MacBook battery off eBay a couple of weeks back. Vendor posts it and then a couple of days later I get a message asking me to be sure to leave feedback. I did, but I’m still waiting for mine 🙂 Guy’s probably too busy scouring through dumpsters.
I just leave a thanks! type feedback straightaway someone pays. I can’t thank ’em for fast payment since they’ve got no choice in the matter- they’ve got to pay fast when it’s a BIN.
