I am doing my January Numbers roughly:
Ebay: $3,000
Poshmark: $550 (after fees)
Mercari: $20
Depop:$56
TOTAL: $3626
Returns ebay: 3 items, $350 total. My sales are down 45% from December. I am still doing my listing goal daily and doing well!
20% of JANUARY sales were non-ebay platforms. Something to pay attention to moving ahead for sure.02/03/2019 at 9:51 pm in reply to: Coupon Code for discount on ebay for buyers – made by seller #56345I sell multi quan of a cult favorite beauty product with repeat buyers. The only thing I think of is telling the buyer to message you for a XYZ discount the next time the reorder. Then you can either 1. refund in PayPal, 2. Send an Offer at discount. eBay isnt organized enough to execute a zillion various coupon codes, I doubt they ever do it.
Hi Tony! My experience after 9 months of cross posting:
1. start with price 20-30% higher than ebay to allow for Best Offers and the higher fees.
2. I was surprised how well vintage clothing is doing for me on Poshmark. I have sold some odd/quirky clothing for good money. So, don’t leave vintage behind.
3. Community Sharing waste of time it seems. Share your own closet to rank higher in Search. It defaults to “last shared’ unlike ebay “Best match.” HOWEVER,this is also based on the users size I think from their profile (if you are a 10 you will only see 10). Finally, periodically I do a mass follow of other closets. It seems to boost sales. I just do it during TV commercials.
4. Google shopping search algorithm loves Poshmark. So, that is my main reason for posting there!
5. Even if it’s “old lady/ man” brands, if it is NWT stick it on Posh.GOOD LUCK!

Jan 21-28
Store: 1100
SOLD: 16 Items
Sales: $359.78I am so demotivated based on this week, but still maintaining my $500 / per day listing goals.
What Ryanne said about not getting things piled up, that is my inventory (listed) right now. I really dislike my inventory set-up although it does work. So I just avoid properly filing things away. I need to change my intake process to the following:
1. Clean/ Photo/measure. Log these on paper. Drafts on phone have become impossible to deal with almost! So many problems.
2. Item goes into inventory space and is logged onto ^ paper.
3. Head to laptop to finish.I have had to completely turn OFF business policies (opt out). Even if you don’t have any created, if you are opted ‘in’ it will not show up in bulk tool.
I need to compile all of my unlisted items. If I had to guess, it’s probably 30 individual items. Right now they are in my car, in laundry room, in shipping, or sitting in my living room. The pile is spread out so it’s hard to deal with as a pile. More like tiny minefields.
My unlisted triggers are 1. low dollar stuff bringing in profit under $10 per item. 2. Annoying to measure things (unsized items), or tricky sizing things.
OR, if I have a messy work area / table I don’t want to deal and they just pile up on that. Keeping my table clear is keyToday my drafts are duplicating themselves. Hopefully these bugs get worked out over time.

Ebay has afforded me (only selling PT 2 years, FT 6 months)
1. a nice chunk of savings / money during times of layoff
2. FUN. I am having fun.Jan 13-19
Sales: 22 items,:
$622
Return: 2 (one for smell?, one for order by mistake).
A low week for me, but I am still persisting.I have been listing daily trying to get my store to $100K by summer. Will post my update to goals end of Jan.
Don’t delete your Posh, just let it ride out. If something ells full price, hooray. It’s free to keep an account after all.
It goes in waves for me of success.
I do not community share or worry about parties.
All I do is share my own closet most days, and follow other poshers which does seem to help. What I do: look up local estate sales and their hours then plot the thrift stores visit around those spots.
On google maps you can “add destination” with the plus sign plotting one destination to another. Honestly, I start at the furthest store or sale point and work my way back home (or hotel in your case).I had epic thrifting in Santa Fe only limited by my suitcase, I am sure ABQ is a great location for you, too.
01/16/2019 at 8:45 pm in reply to: Promoted Listings : Starting a new campaign with a lower rate boosted traffic #55295My method as Jay said on sales and promoted listings is short bursts and I mean SHORT. My sales are flash sale of 24-72 hours MAX and I do the nearly all of store at 30% Off. My promoted listings I will do for about 7 days.
I predict there will be more GW Bins and Boutiques for their long term plan and less “middle of road” locations.
One thing I would like to be clear to buyers is the sale end date. I often only do a 48-72 hour sales, so some people “watch” the item, and it ends and goes back to normal price and I get messages.
Of course, I am happy to honor sale price, but it’s annoying.
Last time, I added the sale end date in the “sale description” text banner. Seemed to helpT-Statt: In response to jeans & mens shirts being down 7.5% YOY, Yep. I have a bucket of mens jeans that move like molasses.. I rarely get mens shirts these days but bundles will do well for me when I can grab 4-5 XLs.
Here are my bolos for jeans right now that bring a $20 ring.
larger sizes waist, shorter inseam.
work pants and lined pants
Carhartt of course
Selling in bundles by size -
