HI! Glad to see this thread – I have 2 GSP return issues this year. In years prior, I called eBay they clicked a few buttons, and it was in clear, buyer was made whole somehow and we all moved on.
1. July 2020 – GSP to Canada – buyer claims item not received (shows attempted delivery and item got sent back to KY and NEVER to me). They opened a case. I called eBay, they said refund the customer and it would work on their end to credit me after. Well, it did NOT, I was out $30 and they refused to refund ME b/c I “should’t have refunded a GSP item. I should have waited for the case to escalate.” ?? I don’t want to leave some buyer hanging for 3 days during escalation, but I guess I should have.
2. October 2020 – GSP to Europe- buyer opens a INAD. I know better this time, so I call and they have a very long explanation on getting customer to give shipping quotes, I would be responsible for the ship return ($5o in shipping). I said hell no, I am not losing money on this, so I just refunded them again myself directly and told them to keep the item. I called ebay again and they were like “you went outside the process, we won’t credit you.” Well, going WITHIN their system would have costed me $-50, so yeah.
Jay – what I learned is consistency with ebay as a steady income with income goals I wanted to meet. I was tired of low and high days. Not to say it doesn’t happen, but it happens less. And when slow days happen, I can use the tools I learned to get back on track instead of just hoping and praying the ebay gods show up again.

Hi everyone!
I found an incredible amount of value in the calls and mentoring.
It works for me for now, and def for my bank account.I am late to comment, Atomic Star! wanted to weigh in:
I have change my business model in last 3 months after having too many bad days. I signed up for Cyndi at Amazing Taste (instagram) group call for one month and took her advice / coaching. My sales increased about 25% since May. Absolutely amazing. I have changed all of how I source/ sell which is NOT for the faint of heart or stubborn. I have never signed up for any courses/mentorships before, so I was like “meh” but if there is anyone who understands ebay / keeping current with the algorithm it is Cyndi.
This isn’t a sponsored post! 🙂 I just wanted to share.

New air bnb looks amazing! You do such a great job decorating and making it look comfy. I have stayed at too many rentals where it’s very cheap/collapsible feeling.
Re: Paying for mentorship -I do think there is value in it! But there is a difference in Mentorship and Courses. And some people don’t get they are different. I would not pay for reselling courses, but I would pay for custom mentorship catered to my business / life specifically.
Much like the Marie Kondo show where she “wakes up” the books by tapping on them to spark stale energy, I do that when I rearrange old inventory! It works.
At the very core of it, my why is feeling good about doing something that works, something I am good at, and something I evolve from. When I shift strategy or set and meet a goal, I feel GOOD about myself in a way that was far more deeply meaningful than launching a project.
I would like to take my earnings and do something else with them, but the something else hasn’t dawned on me yet. I know it will – and I will STAY READY.Usually after I run a large sale and get lots of buyers looking for deals, the returns/ problems happen so that is one “wave” of returns.
The other “wave” is newly listed items. BUyers who get the item within 24 hours of me listing it seem to have higher return rates for me.Yes, I need to just lower the price and move on.
I wish ebay feedback would just die. How much time / labor does ebay spend with this outdated system? Managing, deleting, talking to angry sellers about unjust (or justified) feedback? Especially when sellers cannot leave buyer feedback any longer.
I am bursting out of my clothing tubs and I hate it! New inventory is piled up on my work table. It is listed, but nowhere for it to “go.” This project always goes to the bottom of my list. I don’t want more storage. I need to do some purges of bulkier low cost items.
Some people just can’t be happy with paying full price, so you get to feel their burn. Agree with Liz – kill him/her with kindness, ship promptly, accept a return if required.
I would not cancel the sale b/c there is nothing preventing him to create a guest account if you block him and buying again. Sadly.Slower week for me as well.
Store: 1400
Sales: 12 items
Sales$ : $600Alternate platforms:
April Poshmark has been slow for me this month thus far: $200 after fees
April Mercari thus far: $100Facebook: $80 large doll house, $20 wooden toy box, BBQ grill $150, Ottoman $50. As annoying as Facebook is, it really is nice having cash in hand. I like buying big stuff and this has been fun to pick up more of that.
Instead of pulling from a PayPal balance I have mine set to pull from my CC so I get the rewards points. I pay the card off daily, works beautifully!
YES YES YES! I am going to start this. Pay all my ebay fees, postage, on a miles card. Nice.
Mighty Brilliant – Money Order (USPS Money Order only). Make sure you have immediate payment turned Off.
So, he will “buy it” but not pay. He will mail it, you get it, mark Paid and then ship to him. -
