Thank goodness also for gmail – that’s where I go to look up old transactions.

Yes, that’s a very recently added new “feature” of the new shipping page. It seems to have to do with the dimensions entered in the shipping section of the listing. They only show the packaging options in which the item would fit, according to the entered dimensions. So now, for most things, I enter very small dimensions, so that more packaging options will show up. I also clicked on the “where’s classic printing” on the top right corner and provided ebay with my feedback on this.
04/10/2019 at 10:42 pm in reply to: New eBay shipping page–can't use printer setting to shrink label #60023I’ve been using the new shipping page for a while and have been able to shrink the size of the labels in the printing dialog box (got this idea from you, ebaymom). Works great. I’m on a Mac, but not sure why it wouldn’t also work on a PC. Could you be more specific as to where you were setting the printing to shrink the label? Was it on the ebay shipping page itself?
oops – I mean to say OVERpaid.
I think I may have been one of the few people affected by this glitch who was flagged as UNDERpaid. A week or two ago I got a partial shipping refund for an item I sent in a medium flat rate box that the email said I sent in a small flat rate box.
Do they offer free returns in general? I could see this being used by a seller who offers free returns but is sick of getting INADs (which negatively affect service metrics) b/c buyers think that the only way to get free return shipping is to say Item Not As Described.
That’s great that you were able to get the buyer to close the case *before* you refunded them!
What did you do to resolve the problem?
Huh. That’s surprising and annoying. Thanks for the heads up, IP.
The way I look at it, since ebay compares my INAD rate to the average INAD rate of all peer sellers in my category, having false INADS shouldn’t matter much, since I can’t think of any reason why my store would get more false INADS than any other store.
As far as seeing this information in print, it’s right here:
How often does eBay calculate these metrics?
Service metrics are evaluated on the 20th of each month.Sellers with 400 or more transactions during the last 3 months: You’re evaluated on your transactions during the previous 3-month period
Sellers with fewer than 400 transactions during the last 3 months: You’re evaluated on your transactions over the previous 12-month periodPerhaps b/c you are high volume, your service metrics are done on a quarterly history only? I’m low volume, so my INAD metrics are calculated on a yearly basis. You can see how far back they are calculating by going to the link that IndySales posted.
T-Satt – thanks for clarifying. I wholeheartedly agree on the need to have backup plans. In the case of illness/disability, this can be a partner, a disability insurance policy, saved up money, and/or employees.
So it sounds like your average over the course of a year is still >1, and definitely >>0.
“2 is 1, 1 is None…”
Um. I am one, and am definitely not none. In many cases, 2 is none b/c some people don’t work well together and can’t get anything done.
