I just got off the phone with Anchor Support and thought I’d share a little info I gleaned. INADS are being handled like defects according to the rep I talked to. I volume sell clothing and accessories. I got my 6th bogus INAD and was worried about the 14% final value fees. I explained to the rep that 5 of the 6 were buyer’s remorse for either fit or color. He told me no to worry about it because as of the end of this month some of the INADS were falling off due to my volume and that I’d be back in the “low” end. I’m not sure if everyone is aware of this as I do not see this mentioned in print anywhere.

Yup, you can see your “defect” (aka INADs) here: https://www.ebay.com/sh/prf/service-metrics

Perhaps b/c you are high volume, your service metrics are done on a quarterly history only? I’m low volume, so my INAD metrics are calculated on a yearly basis. You can see how far back they are calculating by going to the link that IndySales posted.

As far as seeing this information in print, it’s right here:
How often does eBay calculate these metrics?
Service metrics are evaluated on the 20th of each month.Sellers with 400 or more transactions during the last 3 months: You’re evaluated on your transactions during the previous 3-month period
Sellers with fewer than 400 transactions during the last 3 months: You’re evaluated on your transactions over the previous 12-month period-

Personally I think that 400 number should be cut in half.
Not all successful full time businesses need 50 sales a week.

That they fall off at all at any point makes me feel a tiny bit better about things. I still think it’s crap that we can’t fight obvious INADS for color or fit. Like, it’s completely lazy on eBay’s part that they won’t take the time to deal with those issues. Especially when they said that those of us who opted into free returns would have “protections”. Right. Or maybe they want that 14% final value fee.

The way I look at it, since ebay compares my INAD rate to the average INAD rate of all peer sellers in my category, having false INADS shouldn’t matter much, since I can’t think of any reason why my store would get more false INADS than any other store.

I have 151 sales in collectables with 0 returns with peers at 0.29%. I am listed as very low.
I have 100 sales in clothing with 2 returns, which is 2%. Peers are listed at 0.59%. The service metrics page for clothing shows the following words:
Item not as described returns
See how you compare to your peers.
Clothing, Shoes & Accessories:
Rate: 2.00% (Adjusted: Average)
Adjustment reason:Requests from less than 10 buyersTotal transactions: 100
Not as described: 2
2 / 100 = 2.00%Looks like I not getting dinged because I have returns from less than 10 buyers.
Sales in the other categories are much lower, and the service metrics page is grayed out with the following message: You don’t have any peer benchmarks.

Why is the jump from 3 months to an entire YEAR? eBay’s got all this seller data and the best they could come up with is siloing everyone into two groups? Give me a break.
