T-Satt,
I completely agree that obstacles/challenges are often huge blessings in disguise. I’ll leave it at that. The problem is that the US is not a true meritocracy, b/c not everyone has the same access to good education and food and safe neighborhood and community to grow up in, and lots of other things that help one become successful in adult life.
Yup – knowing that it’s an actual regular person there on the other side of the transaction does make a difference for me, especially if they write a note or something like that. I would be much more likely to complain about a missing fork if I were purchasing from a big company.
Truth
Thank you, Sharyn!
pottery barn duvets (comforter covers) and ralph lauren comforters.
Handling Time still shows up as an option for me in the bulk editor. But I don’t have business policies turned on. Do you have business policies turned on?
Sharyn, No I don’t do anything differently – didn’t think of it. But maybe I’ll add armhole measurements the next time I list a coat. I kind of understand where the buyer is coming from with such complaints, b/c I know sometimes when I try on a top or coat with armholes that go too low, then if I raise my arm up even a small amount, the whole garment rides up.
I once had a brand new Calvin Klein (ie, mainstream brand) men’s overcoat returned b/c of some issue with the armholes. They came down too low or not low enough.
There’s not really anything you could have done to avoid this issue, except perhaps messaging the buyer directly a day or two before you left to give them a reminder to pay before you left for vacation. I think the only sure-fire way to avoid this issue is to change your handling time to the longer time 6 days before you leave (2 days for UPI to kick in, and 4 days for them to pay or not), but that seems like overkill for such a rare issue.
Looks like what ebay policy doesn’t allow is drop shipping, and not all forms of RA.
However, listing an item on eBay and then purchasing the item from another retailer or marketplace that ships directly to your customer is not allowed on eBay.

BUT, it sounds like IndySales isn’t doing drop shipping either, so I understand his concern. I would just keep calling ebay during the daytime, with the hope that you’ll get a US rep, and ask to speak to a manager, etc. Maybe you’ve tried all this usual stuff…
Scary! Hang in there.
Sharyn,
*For me*, the key to something being outsider art is that the art skills are self-taught, so you’re *mostly* not going to see anything that requires amazing (traditional) painting technique like this (traditional fine art) painting does:
