Wow; nice things!

How do you search for it? Don’t you have to scroll thru all your active listings? I’d love to know that! Thanks. And isn’t it interesting that neither of the ebay reps told me about that?

06/29/2017 at 6:34 pm in reply to: What Sells On eBay: Silver phone cover, old calendar, FM Converter, vintage Sony Cassette Recorder, super high end Amplifiers #19915I have been trying all day to end some listings, but keep getting a “Page Does Not Respond” message. I finally talked to 2 different ebay reps neither of whom could do it either. The first one said there were no other reports of an ebay bug. The second one said there were a few reports of that problem. I was told it could take 72 hrs for IT to fix my problem. This is SO frustrating.
Another complaint that I told them is that it is SO NOT user friendly in how difficult it is to end an item, even when it works. First you have to find the item in your store, then figure out how long until it “ends”, THEN go to your Active Listings, THEN try to figure out what page that will be on, THEN search for it by day and hour and locate it on the page, and THEN finally end it. Both admitted that is the only way to do it. Both said they would report my complaint. But who knows?
Ebay’s systems are so archaic. Why not make our lives simpler? I have been ending a lot of listings this week in preparation of re-doing my store and thinning out the losers. This is not helping.
I have difficulty NOT keeping so many items. This morning I decided to let go of 2 vases because I was going to have to build another addition to the house if I didn’t thin those out. 🙂 and thank heavens for Amazon boxes! I finally have used up enough boxes that we can actually walk thru the garage. Had a blowout sale last week and sold 35 items. Sometimes you just get tired of looking at old inventory.
Yes, it looks like McDonnell Douglas to me too. My Dad retired from there. By then it was McDonnell Boeing. Try searching those logos. Probablt 25 year pins. Maybe someone in the space program. My Dad met all the early space heroes you saw in The Right Stuff. I think that’s why my son went to the AF Academy and became an F-15 pilot–a plane my Dad was involved in developing. I think you have the pin sideways.

We are both misfits. But wouldn’t fitting in be boring? 😊 Perhaps that’s what it takes to be an official Trash Elf.
06/13/2017 at 12:36 pm in reply to: Scavenger Life Episode 314: Selling on eBay while in the Military #19337T-satt I must have missed somewhere that you explained your business model. Don’t know who the people are. Would love to hear you be interviewed. You sound pretty interesting! Go girl!
06/08/2017 at 2:30 pm in reply to: What Sells On eBay: Prince & Wendy picks, Engineer boots, Coleman Cooler, Video switcher, Jeanie Rub massager #19183Eve, I don’t see a link to your video. I’m sorry for your rough patch right now. To quote M. Scott Peck’s first paragraph in The Road Less Travelled, “Life is difficult.” (Great book.) Good news is, it always gets good again after it stops hurting. Here’s hoping that will be soon. Meanwhile, “Keep listing!” 😊
Oops–it just took a while to download–thanks, can’t wait to watch it!

Smartpost has lim9ts on size and weight. Try Fedex Home Delivery–it’s like USPS Parcel Select.
06/07/2017 at 9:33 pm in reply to: Scavenger Life Episode 313: What’s your Backup Plan to eBay? #19155Yes, I learned that in 8th grade civics. But repeal without replacement is obviously not the objective. The GOP could easily do the “nuclear option” to repeal it the same way the ACA was created.

06/06/2017 at 6:54 pm in reply to: Scavenger Life Episode 313: What’s your Backup Plan to eBay? #19099Speaking of back up plans, a friend ran into a guy at the GW who is an attorney yet he has 3 Ebay stores with 2 employees, and his profit is 75K/year. Sounds like a good plan.

06/06/2017 at 3:30 pm in reply to: Scavenger Life Episode 313: What’s your Backup Plan to eBay? #19090Omfug, I understand your fears, but I am sure that is not the objective–otherwise Trump would have just repealed it. Instead now the various GOP factions are arguing about the best way to fix it while the Dems are standing by enjoying the fight instead of helping to resolve the problems. They don’t seem to understand that the ACA is collapsing as everyone opposes each others’ plans. It needs to be fixed before every insurance company pulls out, fairly to all the people who actually pay taxes and premiums, but quickly.
06/06/2017 at 3:20 pm in reply to: Scavenger Life Episode 313: What’s your Backup Plan to eBay? #19088T-Satt, isn’t it interesting that it takes Christians to figure out the best way to provide health insurance? My friends little 6 yr old grandson passed away last year due to cancer. Horrible. But at least his self-employed parents had that kind of insurance, so he got all the best care paid for.
However, I must observe that when you expect people to be as responsible as you are, well you are really pushing the limits. Why wouldn’t they want people like you to carry their weight–it works! Did you notice that in the 18 Alabama counties where they began requiring recipients to do some work in exchange for their food stamps, enrollment went down already by 85%. LOL. I guess they didn’t need it that badly.
My Vietnamese manicurist just told me he has a brain tumor. He won’t be able to work any more because now his vision is going bad. He is only 33 yrs old with a family to take care of including his parents, a 5 yr old and a new baby. He barely speaks English, but we can commnicate if we try. Fortunately he and his wife who also works there both are legal citizens, so they will be covered insurance-wise one way or the other. He will call me after he sees the doctor today to learn what the treatment will be. His name is “Tim”. (His English nickname.) they just got their newborn out of the neonatal ICU; he was a preemie. Just an FYI for those who pray. They are such a precious couple. He told me, “I don’t care about money, or anything right now–I would give everything to get my health back.” It’s so true!
