Liz, you are becoming my role model. 💕💕💕
05/16/2017 at 11:20 am in reply to: Scavenger Life Episode 310: Am I Selling on eBay the Wrong Way? #18099Wow, who knew??? Thanks for the tip. FYI last week was dead due to Mother’s Day coming up. Never fails–the week before a holiday weekend everyone is planning for that and few are on ebay. Never fear, it will bounce back.

05/16/2017 at 11:18 am in reply to: Scavenger Life Episode 310: Am I Selling on eBay the Wrong Way? #18098Jay and Ryanne, I hope you two get that Dyson wall mounted sweeper. We LUV ours. Got it at Costco during one of those in store specials they have around Christmas when there is a salesman showing it off. It will save you a load of work! I only drag out my central vac for big jobs now; use the Dyson almost all the time.
I sold 3 tiny demitasse cups w/o saucers that I got at a church sale for 25 cents each. They are stunning, but there are so many on ebay and w/o saucers so I sold them for $20 for all three. They are going to the ABC HOME store in downtown Manhattan. Wish I could visit the store and see the big price tag they will put on each one!
Last week was SLOW for me. Typical for the week before a big holiday. Just keep listing!
04/28/2017 at 9:03 pm in reply to: Scavenger Life Episode 307: Getting Ready to Sell While Traveling #17236Thank uou T-Satt. I will study your comment and Mike’s. One question: Are you able to adjust or rearrange cellphone photos later on your listings on the computer? That is a major drawback for me–am I doing something wrong?
04/27/2017 at 8:33 am in reply to: Scavenger Life Episode 307: Getting Ready to Sell While Traveling #17170T-sat ca you explain your process? Do you use your phone? I keep trying to just list with my phone but it is so much slower because I make a lot of mistakes and have to correct them on the computer. Biggest problem: I can’t seem to change the arrangement of the photos I took using my phone when I use the computer. Some fields seem to be missing on my phone. And some I just miss because on my phone they don’t show up unless I scroll down, etc., so I forget they are there. Then after the listing is done I have to go back and delete the pics on my phone one by one. Iknow I must be doing this all wrong. But I’d love to master it because I’d much rather list by sitting on the porch swing or sofa than by grinding it out at the office desk. Any suggestions? I wish I could watch someone do it on a video. I’m a visual learner.
04/25/2017 at 4:45 pm in reply to: Scavenger Life Episode 307: Getting Ready to Sell While Traveling #17067Well count me out on the dath pile challenge. (I did just clear out a big backlog of antique photos–painful process since they sell for so little per item, but have been selling nicely.) Also most of the things laying around. But I just got home from a rummage sale with my car loaded to the max with all sorts of fresh produce, including a nice wooden wall clock and you name it. No idea where it will all go–yikes! Must stay home for the next year.

That’s a great website–thanks! However I have a gorgeous pottery oval bowl piece that only has a symbol/mark which I learned used to be probably made in the UK in the 1800’s, or maybe early 1900’s. They used to write identifying numbers in the symbol but those are long gone. I guess I’ll have to take it to an auction house to try to get infor from them, but as Jay says, they only research the same websites we do. Just hoping their experience will give me a clue how to price it.
04/23/2017 at 8:59 am in reply to: Help with pricing and listing title for crazy psychedelic angry cat painting #16935That’s totally awesome. I wish I had a spot for it. Price high with Best Offer. You can always lower the price.
04/21/2017 at 2:39 pm in reply to: What Sells on eBay: Pochade paint box, trucker hats, Marantz receiver, JBL Speakers, reel tapes, Polaroid case #16910I received this email today from a buyer in the UK who purchased a large fox terrier dog figurine. It explains why it pays to invest in plenty of bubble wrap:
THANKYOU !!! And thanking you a million times for your brilliant packing !!! My husband and I watched in horror as the delivery man threw the box over our 7ft fence !!!! ( He could of just walked through !!! ) we have called him BOB !! We have a real fox terrier called Agatha !! BoB is my husbands Easter present !! THANKYOU and sending love and hugs from the uk xxxxxx
Don’t you just love buyers like that? I told her to thank the Lord and report the delivery man! 😊

04/18/2017 at 11:35 pm in reply to: Scavenger Life Episode 306: We Love Flea Markets and Craigslist #16759I could tell that the holidays and taxes were over when I had eight items to pack and set out on the porch yesterday morning. Having both things distracting buyers at one time does put a crimp in sales for a bit. I do love getting back to “normal”.
04/18/2017 at 11:29 pm in reply to: Scavenger Life Episode 306: We Love Flea Markets and Craigslist #16758I get a headache just thinking about that many listings. I keep trying to keep mine down to 1K because I only have limited storage space (2 rooms in the basement.) ideally I wish I knew how to get things to sell faster–I did add Make Offer to most of my listings and that has helped. But I’ve still inched ip to 1300 listings.
04/18/2017 at 11:01 pm in reply to: Scavenger Life Episode 306: We Love Flea Markets and Craigslist #16756Last week I sold a mens overcoat and a couple of womens swim suits. It’s hot/cold somewhere all the time!
04/18/2017 at 10:58 pm in reply to: Scavenger Life Episode 306: We Love Flea Markets and Craigslist #16755Isn’t there a website where you can get Coach bgs authenticated? Do they give you a special number to add to your listing to prove it’s authentic? Is it exhorbitant in cost?
