Retro Treasures- I got the headphones thru a focus group type app called dscout. I have done quite a few “missions” with them. They are legit, always pay and a lot of fun. You have to qualify for the missions and a mission can be anything from trying out a new dog treat to giving your opinion on all manner of technology to one on one interviews on social issues. The pay is nothing to sneeze at, for many of the things I have done the pay comes out to over 60 bucks an hour. Usually done whilst sitting in my recliner. For one in home interview I did it was $300.00 for 3 hours of talking about my self to a bunch of social scientists. I also just qualified for an old fashioned focus group on my Sephora shopping habits by filling out a survey with Sephora. 90 minutes, probably some lunch involved and then $125.00 Sephora gift card that I will (mostly) use to buy something fancy to resell 🙂
Thanks for the reassurance! If I sell more of this kind of stuff I will start including the serial number in the listing. 99% of my customers have been no trouble. This guy is probably the same.
Well, these are new, so maybe they buy them and return some that don’t work? I think I am probably a bit paranoid as I don’t normally sell electronics, I deal in the much lower risk world of vintage linens and drawer pulls:) I got these to use while I was part of a focus group on the headphones. Got paid and got to keep them!
My Gram had a Zenith that would change channels when my dad jingled his keys! Always made him laugh when he did it!
Quick update: one of the guys I blocked had someone else make the purchase for him:( I was all ready to bite the bullet and send them ( vintage casters) but when I went to mail them there were only seven instead of eight. I was forced to cancel the order, and also blocked the new person. It was an 80$ sale…
I usually have no problem with messages and have had some fun conversations with people. I responded to two out of the three that I blocked this week. At first I was thinking I was in an off mood so I continued correspondence but after a couple messages I realized I would be sorry if they bought anything from me. The third person seemed like they would be unhappy no matter what so I did not answer. And, to all three of them: you can’t talk to me any way you want. Manners count.
This current situation has totally wrecked my listing flow. I had big plans to get into my death pile and show it who’s boss. Just for kicks I am on hold with ebay to discuss a few things… please continue to hold for the next available agent… Besides all the above issues I now am seeing listing fees on some of my drafts. Have some fabric they want to charge me $1.00 to list. I guess I could look and see if I also have an update in iTunes although Steven only had temporary improvement. Maybe I will just call it quits for tonight.

I can’t pick shipping or store categories on the mobile app, a lot of what I put in a listing on my laptop does not show up on my phone to continue the listing. I do like the pictures tho. This is a drag as I was struggling to list anything today as I was not really in the mood and now there are hurdles to cross…
I will give your spritz a try! I wear long sleeves and pants and a hat. I spray my clothes with Ben’s Permethrin clothing and gear protector but I have had them on me every time I have gone out so far. Not proud of how hard I freaked out in the shower over the weekend when one fell out of my hair and onto my arm :/
Thanks MyCottage! I feel better now having read saner interpretations of that post. I saw it last night on Reddit as I was falling asleep. As I was tired it was much easier to entertain the conspiracy theories that were being tossed around.
I am up for a mini challenge. I will call my pile “stuff I shouldn’t have bid on” and I will list at least 5 things from said pile by Monday night thanks for the kick in the pants!
TamI actually did find my cards as first editions. There is a little black badge in the lower right corner that says first edition. I am tempted to open a pack! I relished them correctly as an auction last night and had a nice note from a buyer who was willing to give me 60$ Including shipping if I could verify they were in great condition because he needed them for his nephews birthday. 🤨
Hi guys. Thanks for the insight. First I went into the listing and was able to add a note to the description about the error. Then just for kicks I tried to end the listing. It looked like it would end but before I tried I sent the 2 bidders a note explaining/apologizing. Then I went back and ended it and it worked! Not sure why ebay said I couldn’t but glad I tried and glad I was able to talk to you guys about it too!
