OK, it looks like the forum server may think my post is too long (even though it’s shorter that Mike’s typical posts ;)), so I’ll try shortening it or splitting it up into two.

I just wrote a reply that isn’t appearing (and I didn’t go back to edit it or anything). If you see it in you email, can you post it here? thx.
I sometimes buy things that I think are too expensive, but I want them anyway for whatever reason – sometimes it’s convenience, sometimes it’s need. Just b/c I agreed to pay the price doesn’t negate my opinion that it’s over-priced. I don’t buy much on ebay, so it doesn’t really apply there, but, for example, lots of people on this forum, including myself, complain about items at thrift stores being overpriced. But I buy some of these items anyway. If I were motivated to leave a yelp review, I would absolutely mention that I thought things were overpriced, and not give a 5-star review. Does this make me unreasonable, a horrible buyer? I don’t think so.
In general, I think some resellers are too easily annoyed by typical consumer/human behavior. This is a waste of time and emotional energy.

I can’t find it just now, but I remember it from when I first started on ebay a few years ago. Of course, they’ve changed the label printing page since then, so maybe it’s gone now. I’ll post again if I find it.Thanks Clarity and VT. Very helpful. I think I may end up lotting these up.
cool – thanks!
Thanks Ryanne and AF. I could totally see this being a dyed stone of some sort.
You’ve given me more key words for search and title. Why should a rural county with only 6 cases stay in lockdown?
The answer for my rural county is: Because rural hospitals are likely to end up taking overflow of COVID cases from the more populated areas, reducing the already miniscule hospital capacity available for rural folks. Planning for this has already begun in NY state. So the longer we can delay virus spread among rural folks, the better for everyone.
I used to have a local post office clerk who always scanned everything I gave him as “delivered” (ie, I delivered it to the PO) instead of “accepted”. This actually had a different result of not showing up on tracking at all until the item got to the next USPS facility, so it looked like I hadn’t even shipped it. Luckily that guy quit in less than a year.
I’m getting “service unavailable” – ie, that’s all that’s on the page in a non-fancy font.
Wow – that sounds awful! The only small thing I can suggest is perhaps contacting the “ebay for business” folks on facebook. Sometimes they help with things that don’t get resolved via regular support.
Regardless of what you do, this false INAD will negatively affect your Service Metrics – there’s pretty much nothing you can do about that. So you might as well make yourself whole on the shipping costs.
Was there some other sort of ebay metric you were concerned about? I’m actually never sure what people are referring to when they say “defect” in this context.
