Hi Steve,
I agree on the concept of reorganizing. Every time I’ve done it, I’ve gained more space. Included in that is combining half empty storage containers etc.
If you don’t have your items in specific labeled locations that you can access from the listing, I highly encourage you to do so, or at least start with your new listings. This enables you to fill each container to the top, regardless of what needs to be stored. It also takes away a lot of stress when an item is sold.
Organized shelving is key. I prefer to build mine from wood, so that I can make them exactly the size I prefer. It’s probably not much cheaper, than buying them premade, but having the correct size, makes it worth it to me.
I’ve also got a specific shipping area, with all the boxes and supplies in a convenient location. I’ve found this enables me to ship much quicker.
I think storage space is an issue for all of us in one form or another.
Good Luck.
Hi Christine,
Welcome to the group.
Congratulations on your progress with the Debt Snowball. Dave’s step by step methods really work and with time and effort, I’m sure you’ll soon be debt free.
Here are a couple of other sources of good information, in case you are interested.
You may want to check out http://www.mrmoneymustache.com. There is a “start here” link on the home page, which will give you an idea of what he’s all about. He’s a little crazy and over the top, but has some great ideas.
Also Clark Howard has a podcast which has a bunch of consumer information. It’s interesting stuff for those long rides in the car and I find it valuable. http://www.Clark.com
In the meantime, stick with Dave Ramsey and you’ll soon be the one calling him on the radio.
Best of Luck.

So Cal Joe.
I buy shipping tape by the case.
You can usually get 110 yards of 2 inch tape for less than $1 a roll including shipping.
I also buy bubble wrap. $22 for a 750 foot roll, but it’s local pickup..
It’s a bit like breaking up any collection.
Do you want to be the wholesaler or the retailer?
Let the sold listings be your guide.
Good luck.
If you want to make the most cash for the lot, you should break it up into multiple listings.
You’ll need to identify the specialty pieces, figures etc.
It’s a lot of work, but worth the effort in my opinion.
Good Luck.
If he has the money to buy the TV from you, he has the money to pay you back (at least partially).
He can him find a TV somewhere else..
and yes, he’s the Jerk..
I’ve been shipping them that way for years, with no breakage yet.
Off course the USPS Flat Rate Padded Envelope cost more than First Class, but is worth it to me.
Wow, the new shipping page wouldn’t let me ship a 1 pound package First Class.
This workaround saved me..
Thanks
I place the mug in a 7x5x4 box and put that into a flat rate padded envelope.
That way I can use plenty of packing material without worrying about the weight.
You put the packing material inside the box and between the box and the padded envelope.

If you have the room and buy the right motorcycle, you can do quite well parting it out.
I just printed a label and it worked fine here.
About 20 years ago, I bought a used Toyota Pickup based motorhome on the cheap to see the country. It was about 18 feet long, but had everything, stove heater bathroom etc and I loved it. It was pretty slow, but got 15 to 18 MPG, depending on the trip speed etc.
I did a lot of stealth camping/sleeping for free and spent a lot of my days at one of the many San Diego beaches. It was an interesting time.
Nowadays due to the housing crisis and the internet, things have changed. There are a lot more people living in vehicles of all types and unfortunately not all of them are responsible. Some are committing crimes and others and just plain being disrespectful and creating unsanitary conditions where they park.
As a result many communities have basically created laws to prevent street parking for any vehicle that remotely resembles an RV. Even residents are prevented from parking their own vehicles there. It’s really a shame, because the few bad apples are ruining it for the rest of us.
I had planned on buying another small RV for my scavenging trips, but have since changed my plan. I may just get a van and install a bed or convert one of my small trailers to sleep in and also use as a haul vehicle.
The whole RV thing is very American. The prices can be as low as $2500 for an older used unit up to six figures for the lotto winner. One of my favorites is a Vixen from the 1980’s. It’s got a BMW diesel and gets up to 30 MPG. Unfortunately it’s very expensive. The Toyota Pickup based RV’s from the late 70’s up to the early 90’s are also very popular and efficient.
It’s all about choices and what’s important to you, but you don’t have to spend a lot of money to get a quality RV.
I just checked again.. delivery bu Thursday 05/09.
I just have no ambition to get on the phone with customer service.
Way to go on the sales Dunn_sell.
Be careful listing Monster Energy items. They are a target for Vero violations..
Congrats on your numbers.
