Well, guess that doesn’t view very well. HEre is a blow up:
Hi Jason – It integrates fairly well with shipping policies. The one thing to keep in mind is that each time you create a new policy, you must first apply it to a listing on eBay, then refresh the listing in Sixbit before it will show up as an option in Sixbit to apply to other listings. Same deal with Etsy.
I am the only one using it for my store. Not sure how that would work, as the database is local. I assume you could put it on a server or allow other computers to connect via a local network. No web interface, which is a drawback.
It could be used for inventory, but it is not a robust solution. See pic. The section in the middle is where the info goes. This can feed into a pick list.
@JasonK – I use Sixbit for eBay and Etsy integration. It is supposed to integrate with Shopify as well, though I haven’t tried. I found the learning curve steep, but once set up it is pretty easy. Pricey, too, at $122.99 per month. Overall general support is responsive and good, though I have had several instances where it has been a headache to identify and resolve issues. First 30 days has “Gold” level support which was helpful to have them walk me through some set up issues. I’d give them a 7 out of 10. Doesn’t seem to be anyone else out there that provides the same level of integration, though.
@Craig – how many cards to you typically put in one of your flat rate boxes?

New Listings Value $434.00I was pretty happy to sell my Bose speakers this week for $250. I purchased this pair off of eBay about 20 years ago. Can’t recall how much I originally paid, but it couldn’t have been more as I usually bought via auction using Snipe and I was more of a cheapskate back then. This was likely my first eBay purchase. I used to be a big stereo guy, but rarely have the time to sit down and relax and enjoy listening like I used to (pre-kids).
Spent time this week trying to organize and clean. First half of the year I was so focused on listing that I allowed my space to get a bit overwhelmed. Dropped a big load off at Goodwill and sorting through to find the diamonds in the rough for the remainder.
Had another Sixbit glitch show up this week where I sold an item on Etsy that I sold on eBay 3 months ago. Fortunately, I had a very similar item that the buyer was willing to substitute for a $5 discount. I really like using Sixbit, but I am getting to the point where I’m ready to put in the effort to move to another platform for cross-selling. I went through the system again and found 3 other listings that had sold on eBay and were still listed on Etsy. Not an easy system to cross-reference things like that. Support is helpful, but needed too often.

New Listings Value $74.95Not a bad week for this time of year. Much better than last year since I had my store on vacation mode then. My big sale of the week was unusual. I sold a vintage 1970’s Raleigh bicycle back to a previous owner. I assume I sold it too cheap since he was buying it to resell again, but I was happy to get triple what I paid for it for less than a month holding it. It was large and taking up too much storage space.
@Retro – Incredible! What a haul. I can’t wait to see your xmas numbers…

New Listings Value $1,428.00Slow week of sales here as well, but it seems to be about average for me this time of year. Was happy to see the Christmas ornament sell to give the week a needed boost. 8 of the 9 sales sold via promoted listings which is an unusually high percentage.
Halfway through the year and I have sold about $100 more this year than last year: $15,512. I’m happy that it is at least holding steady. The good news is that I’ve posted almost twice as many listings and spent half as much money on new inventory. Looking forward to a good second half.
@craig – I’m impressed that you even knew to buy the 393rd document. You must be a history buff. I had to look it up. Original seller doesn’t seem to know what he had, which is a common theme on many of the scavages you post about. I’ll be interested to see your listing when it’s up.

New Listings Value $2,599.92Pretty sad showing for the week but this time of year has never been great for me (pandemic excepted). Better than last year. This week is looking worse so far but hoping something big sells. Visiting family is now gone so will get back to listing. Trying not to look at auctions until I get some of my backlog listed.
@Retro – What an incredible haul. Hope you can get the rest for a reasonable price. Be nice to sit back and not worry about scavenging for a while. Will be interested to see how quickly it sells.
I’ve been fortunate to find multiple lately at very good price points. I started picking them up after you and Ryanne mentioned selling some of the bentwood case singers on your podcast years ago. I have two for sale still. I have been a little concerned about them having issues, especially with shipping. They adult one’s are so heavy I’m afraid of them being damaged from dropping.
06/27/2023 at 4:09 pm in reply to: New consolidated groud service at USPS starts soon – 7/9/23. #100426I was just looking over the USPS site and this quite jumped out at me as a major change:
- $100 insurance is included (for both outbound and return shipments), and you can purchase up to $5,000 in additional coverage against loss or damage for merchandise.
That’s a game changer in itself. I kept looking through the post to make sure I wasn’t missing anything, but seems to be real.
06/27/2023 at 3:47 pm in reply to: Seiko clock, Sewing Cabinet Drawers, Fender Strat, Vintage TV Antenna #100425Great bunch of sales. I’m amazed that the Mustang II parts keep selling. That antenna is really cool. Didn’t realize the old school ones would work with the new digital signals.
Thanks for posting
