Had a good week for a change. But also was contacted today by someone asking me if a Disney one size nightgown t-shirt was unisex. I said yes it could be. Then they asked measurements on it so I measured it. Then they asked if I would please try it on and send a photo of myself in it “for reference, then I can buy it.” I said No, it’s way too big for me as I’m a petite. Then they claimed to be a petite person also, so would I please send a photo of me in it, and signed it Susie. I said No, I don’t send photos of myself to strangers. What a perv. And why would he want a photo of someone in an oversized t-shirt??? The member name showed a man in France. That figures.

09/17/2017 at 5:40 pm in reply to: Scavenger Life Episode 327: Dealing With Stress Traveling, In Life and On eBay #22904Great podcast, guys! I’m so sorry about the gasoline scare. I wouldn’t have known what to do. I prefer not traveling because it is stressful, even when you are having a good time, but sometimes it’s just worth it. You reminded me how thankful I am that I almost always travel with my husband who handles all the worries for me. I hate traveling alone. You two have a wonderful trip while you make oodles of $$$!

I normally sell a large percentage of items to Florida and Texas. I hope there won’t be a hurricane in California!

I just love how you enjoy repairing broken electronics to resell. I love doing the same thing with things I love and know about. I touch up chipped porcelain, wash and press vintage linens and love the process. Problem is that the things I enjoy fixing up to resell are worth a lot less than your “guy stuff”! 😊
J & R, I have a friend who is a fab photographer (also a Radiologist) who takes several worldwide photography trips every year. Last year she went to Iceland twice! She took great pics of the fluffy Shetland sheep. Have you seen any? I had her print one of her photos on the largest size canvas and we mounted it over our bed. My husband said we should be very discriminating in the sheep that we count while going to sleep. 😊 I think Iceland would be a futile place to try scavenging, but the wool would be nice!
Our daughter and SIL moved to Scotland last week so he can study church history under NT Wright at St. Andrews. They are now on a little trip to see the Loch Ness Monster. I’d rather see the adorable UK sheep myself. Hoping to go there next year. I’d better get some listing done!
I’m sorry to be a bad scavenger, but experiencing the local cuisine and restaurant ambience is one of my favorite parts of traveling. My happiest travel memories revolve around my most romantic and charming restaurant moments among the locals and tourists. I’ll save cooking for home. LOL

LaVonna, do you mean “bundle”? I know what a lot is. I am unsure what they mean by a bundle.
As I listen to this my friend’s house in Venice FL, which I visted 2 weeks ago, is being slammed by hurricane Irma. Bummer.
09/01/2017 at 4:23 am in reply to: Scavenger Life Episode 324: A Day In The Life Of A Scavenger VIDEO! #22418Loved the video of your Virginia life. Sometimes I wish I could wear a Go-Pro all day to see where the time went. Even if I stay home all day every day is so random. Have been spending time getting random projects done around our house like getting the upstairs carpet restretched and the downstairs patio door slider resealed because it was leaking water into the house, plus got one car repaired, and still taking care of our son’s house which is on the market and requires all kinds of city inspections and repairs, plus having a bit of a social life.
So listing has been slower than usual, but my sales have definitely been up from last month and from this time last year. I’m so glad I took the time off last month to dump around 20% of my old store inventory into an auction and reorganize the remainder. I actually enjoy listing now. And I’m back over 1000 items. Won’t be long until I have the same number of listings but with higher value items.
We had a perfect view from our deck. It was awesome.
