Child enrichment type items are the only items that are selling for me. I sold a Where’s Waldo Floor Puzzle that has been in my inventory from almost the beginning of my reselling life. Also sold Mattel Tuff Stuff number and letter blocks that have been in my inventory for almost as long as the puzzle. I also sold Unicorn cupcake liners and matching napkins to WA state so someone is probably trying to add some whimsey to their child’s day while holed up.
Another 0 for me. Had to prepare for TWO IRS compliance audits at work, which is a bit unheard of. And then they were both postponed. Oh well, at least I’m ready for them now.
21 for me. Every week I think finally, this is the week I can crank out some serious listings and then something happens to cause my full time job to keep piling on. But 21 for me, is pretty good given my work chaos.
Only 3 listings this week.
It’s a big old goose egg for me this week – 0.
Whoopsie, I forgot to post on Monday – 9 for me. Thank you!!
Mark me down for a whopping 1. This challenge has opened my eyes to how little I actually get listed!
02/07/2020 at 11:55 am in reply to: What Sells On eBay: Pin up calendar, Billy Joel 8 Track collection #737617 of 18 items I sold this week were sold through a 40% off sale I’m having. After moving my ebay space across the house over the last month, I saw a lot of stale inventory I wanted to move out. I put about 1/4th of my store on sale. The items that sold for 40% off I’ve had foooorever and am glad to see them go.
Best sale of the week sold for full price of $54 within 30 minutes of listing. I had them for a year before I listed them because I hung them in my ebay closet and forgot about them. Vintage Evisu Genes Jeans. They are covered with 19 colorful pockets down the back of the legs. So much room for carrying one’s snacks! I paid $6.99 at Goodwill.
23 for me this week.

01/31/2020 at 9:36 am in reply to: eBay Open canceled this year in favor of eBay UpFront events #73517When I first saw the announcement I was hoping it was going to be one day regional mini-conferences hosted in different parts of the country. The one scheduled for Atlanta next week is just a regular Atlanta Area Resellers Meetup Group for 3 hours. Maybe a few eBay employees will be there. I don’t think there’s much I can get out of that other than meeting other area resellers. Anyone on here going?
01/30/2020 at 10:15 am in reply to: What Sells On eBay: Glass ice bucket low ball cocktail set, Lineman belt #73475All small bread and butter sales for me except for one BOLO item which I sold for over 40% off for $60 – vintage Escada bolero blazers from the 80s/90s. The more heavily bedazzled the better. I could have held out longer and gotten closer to my initial asking price of $109 but after spending weeks moving my ebay office across the house, I just wanted to clear out as much inventory as possible. https://www.ebay.com/itm/264582055383
01/28/2020 at 10:01 am in reply to: Scavenger Life Episode 447: 2 Month Free Shipping Experiment #73395Believe it or not I still use….wait for it….Excel spreadsheets to track all of my accounting. But, my sales are much smaller compared to many of you and I only sell on one platform. I don’t have employees and because I have outside W-2 work, I don’t need to pay myself a salary thru ebay sales which simplifies things immensely. This year I will actually use an accountant to file my taxes because things are getting too complicated tax-wise. I do have a new business start up that has not yet gone live but once it does I plan to use QuickBooks only because the CPA firm I’ll be using offers a free class on it along with free support and I can upload my QB data directly to them.
Also, truth be told – those GoDaddy commercials from back in the day always rubbed me the wrong way so I’ve avoided their product entirely for that reason.

8 for me. Last night I was finally able to photograph and list in my new ebay space after several weeks of rearranging my house. Hope to have a listing frenzy in the next week or so.
Thanks for tallying up our numbers each week! It really is helping me to list. I had 0 listed up until last night and I didn’t want to report in with 0 so I got busy listing.
20 listings for me this week. I was surprised I listed anything at all as I’m moving my ebay room and it’s quite the mess. The motivation was to get all of the large unlisted items listed so I could put them away and not have to junk up my new ebay space with unlisted inventory. Some of the items I had for years. I just kept moving them and not listing them.
Thank you for posting this. I just heard about the book last night and downloaded a sample of it to read but didn’t want to read all 300+ pages of the book. This podcast fits the bill of what my attention span can handle. 🙂 Although the host of the podcast episode is a little too obsessed with the topic on rags. I wish he would have let the author go into some more detail in other areas.
