66 listings, 48 met the challenge. I think this was my 2nd most productive listing week all year. I needed it!
I don’t time how long it takes for me to list. I can take 5 minutes for an item and another time that same type of item could take me 20 minutes depending on the interruptions and distractions that get in my way. There are some resellers I watch on Youtube or Instagram that claim to be able to photograph and list insane amounts of inventory in a single hour but I don’t see how.
29 listings. 23 met the challenge.
The last few days I started going thru one of my death pile bins (aka Money bins, aka Unrealized Profit bins). The stuff has been in there since 2018! And there are some good items! My motivation is I am low on cash due to all of the travel and time off I took in Aug/early Sept so I need to get stuff listed that I already spent money on years ago. Plus, Covid is crazy rampant here now so I’m staying home as much as possible except for taking sales to the Post Office & occasional grocery store runs. May as well stay home and list!
Amatino, I’m going to have to think on that one for a bit. For “cue, routine, reward” am I supposed to pick a bad habit that I want to change or a new habit that I want to develop?
@Retro – It is GREAT to hear from you, Retro! I don’t know you but I’ve been thinking about you and your wife these past two weeks.
I’m glad you are still posting your numbers Jay and keeping the forum open.
I had my store off for 3 weeks in August and off for 3 days so far in September so my numbers are horrendous! I’ve also been too focused on listing clothing on ebay and Poshmark over the last year and my numbers reflect it. They are slow sellers but in such abundance here near Atlanta plus easy to store and ship and I like scavenging it. I need to pivot back towards hard goods for awhile or I’m not going to make it as full time seller much longer.
12 for me this week – had the store on vacation for several days as I had to go to Savannah mid-week.
IF clothing is included in Textiles, then all 12 of my listings met the challenge. If not, then 0.
50 listings this week, 4 met the August challenge.
Thank you Jay and Ryanne for sharing your lives with us over the last 527+ weeks. Yours truly was the best podcast I’ve ever found on the topic of reselling. It couldn’t last forever and I think you are ending it at a great time in your journey. I’m proud of you for what you have accomplished; from online reselling, to starting and growing an AirBNB business to opening a successful coffee shop/cafe. What an inspiration! I’ll miss the show and the community that you developed in this corner of the internet. Thank you for everything!

For anyone who follows Alabama Pickers on Youtube, Dusty posted from ICU on his channel this evening. This Delta variant is no joke. Please, please if you aren’t vaccinated, reconsider and get it. My parents finally got their first doses last week after seeing the havoc this variant is causing here in the South where schools have been open for 3 weeks. Now that schools have started opening in most of the rest of the country, it’s going to be everywhere!
Great job selling items that you have around the house. The $40 chess set was very cool! Good video, thanks for posting it.
This has been happening to me a lot lately! I’m listing clothes. I create a draft and then open the draft on my phone to add pictures. At that point, nearly 75% of the item specifics have automatically deleted so I have to save the draft, go back to my desktop and reenter the specifics. It’s maddening and I’m not sure why more people don’t seem to be having this same issue. I just updated the app on my iphone thinking maybe that could be a cause but it was not.
Hi Everyone,
16 listings for me.
I’m back after a 3 week hiatus! Dad had surgery in Iowa. With one day to go before the surgery the hospital pushed it back 8 days so that extended my stay quite a bit. I had my stores on vacation mode so I wasn’t making any money those 3 weeks. But I got to spend quality time with my parents, spent a day with my old college roommates and did some pretty good sourcing as well. Now to hit it HARD for the rest of the year…hopefully.
1 item listed this week. That’s right, 1 – hehe. The next two weeks might be 0 but I’ll wait and see. The plan is to hit the 4th quarter HARD! Later, y’all!
Buyer continued to message me and stated that eBay told her that I owe her more money (insert eyeroll here). At that point I stopped responding. A rep at Ebay told me to block her and said she would report the buyer for harassment. I’m not sure that ever actually results in anything but I’m moving on.
Thank you, I like the language you used about the system being automated. I’m going to wait to respond to her for a few hours but when I do, I’m going to include language about the process being automated and refer her to Customer Service.
These kind of buyers are just a cost of doing business. Fortunately they are few and far between and it’s all online, not face to face!
