Hopefully others sellers in here will be able to give some guidance based on how they handle such returns.
Since you have today, I would offer that you allow time for other sellers to respond.
I am thinking that since he sent you a message and returns are allowed via messages, you do it through messaging and ask him to get a tracking number when he buys the return label.
Other more experienced sellers may have a different perspective.
Just wondering if you have been able to find any assistance with this from iTunes.
My first inclination is to say simply accept the return but have the buyer pay for the return label and simply say that the size identified in the listing is accurate to that given by the manufacturer on the label/tags. Then ask them to put the item back into the envelope or box you sent it in, seal the package, purchase a return label, and mail it back.
In my opionion, the buyer’s disagreement is with the manufacturer and not with you as a seller. If you put the exact numbers from the label in your listing, you did your job. You had nothing to do with what size the manufacturer decided to put on the label. It is his opinion that the manufacturer should have labeled the pants differently. Opinion is not fact.
Here is the official eBay return policy as of this moment in time

This is just my opinion. Other sellers may have a different opinion.

I have spoken to several ebay reps about the Summer Seller Update and they have made it clear (in their most professional scripted language) that is has just been put out and they are working to understand it themselves. There is no way ebay is going to reimburse you for returns. That would cost them thousands and thousands of dollars. They are pushing returns on sellers not on themselves. I think he is referring to the fact that in some instances ebay will take over and send the buyer a return label at the seller’s cost if the seller does not provide one for the buyer. Free returns must be on each listing or you must have opted into one of the return policies (which will then be included in listings) in order to take advantage of any of their “perks” such as a partial refund for an item if it is returned damaged or changed in some way.
When you call ebay, make sure to get a reference number when you hear something that does not seem to be consistant what has been stated or put into writing. Here is the official return policy as of this moment in time.

I think the amount of detail and description orientation is great. I would like to offer that you may want to condense it using bullet points only. You may want to take out extraneous details such as extra wording like “up for auction”. This will save you time and help buyers focus on what you are selling them.
We have a very short period of time to grab a buyer’s attention. Many people become disinterested (including me) when they see a block of text they have to read to understand what they are buying. Bullets separate info and deliver it in smaller chunks which helps maintain attention. Some people will actually pass on something (even if it is something they are interested in) if there is too much work involved. Think about it this way. You have 30 seconds to shop. How do you want to spend your time? Reading a block of text or getting to the details that make you want to purchase the item?

The Guaranteed Delivery program is not so guaranteed.
After waiting six months, I have still not been put in the program, so I called ebay to find out that I meet all of the min requirements but that corporate is putting sellers into the program based on the criteria they choose, so a seller could wait 6 months or longer to be opted into the program. This has and continues to create an uneven playing field for sellers. Ebay has made it a competative selling point and yet many sellers who qualify to partipate can not through no fault of their own.

It may also be beneficial to type the word Etsy into the search bar in order to find threads connected to Etsy.

The manuals may have value. Some people still use older versions of software. Some people collect manuals.
The CDs and DVDs can be used/recycled into art. I am going to put this as a seperate thread for everyone to see because recycling CD/DVDs instead of having them wind up in landfills helps the planet.

mickdog,
It is possible that that may be a sugar or serving bowl. I have learned that different pieces can go for different amounts.
This link may be of benefit.
Mickdog,
It may help if you include a picture.Look on your Best Offer listing. It’s noted below the estimated delivery time and above the blue BIN button on the left side.
Jay, I just did a comparison of phone verse PC and found that it is only a feature when you search/buy on the phone which would make sense with mobile shopping being on the rise.

Jay,
That makes sense.
lindawoo,
Just wondering why you chose not give a partial refund if that is what the buyer requested?
Jay,
Would the return policy matter if the buyer is stating that the return is due to the item not working? Wouldn’t the buyer be covered under the ebay 30 day money back guarantee return policy causing the seller to have to pay for the return because the buyer is stating the item does not work?
