Yes, sell similar will solve the ebay problem but not the store and/or inventory stagnation that will occur if you only sell items with a high price and wait for each one to sell at the highest price. Waiting to get the highest price sets you up as a seller for only a specific group of people with a large amount of fluid cash and/or credit who happen to be on ebay, who happen to come upon your listing, who happen to want your item, and who happen to want to pay the price asked for. This is an option but can limit you as a seller. In my opionion, there are more people with some money to spend than there are people with large amounts of money to spend. Having a store that appeals to both groups gives you flexibility and options as a seller. This is why it is important to have competative pricing, some items that have a lower dollar value, and items that command a higher price. Research is key for pricing.
Its important to keep your store moving forward and growing. Sell similar can take 1 to 5 mintues to do (depending on if you are making any changes and/or experience any technical issues with the site or your computer). Even if you have only 5 items you keep using sell similar on because you want to wait for the highest dollar amount, that is approximately 20 to 25 minutes of your time you have used on existing inventory when it could have been used to list new inventory, research, and/or ship items.
The sales revenue and number of items sold in a store may stay about the same for several months or longer but there are multiple factors that can contribute to that: Number and kind of listings in the store, number and kind of listings added daily, weekly, and/or monthly, market relevancy, feedback history, handling time, pricing, the value of items sold, number of sales had in order to sell items, pictures, descriptions etc.
While waiting for sales with high prices, listings may become stagnant in your store. Having a store filled with stagnant listings (which is tracked by ebay) is held against you as a seller and can even lower your ranking. Ebay is a business first. Their goal is movement/activity, staying competative, and revenue most of all. This is why ebay removed listings that sat stagnant for a year and then informed sellers to review their listings before simply relisting. Some items need to just be priced competatively while other items (as previously stated) need to be listed with a higher price and Best Offer.
I would offer to be careful responding to (via email or a phone number that might be provided) or clicking on any links in any email stating your account has been frozen/hacked or is in need of an update. This is one of the biggest scams going right now. The email is made to seem official and asks you to log in and provide your personal information. Before you know it, all of your personal information has been provided to scammers who are planning to take it and use it illegally. I would offer that for any emails of this nature, look up the company independently or use a previous bill/invoice and call them about your account.
I could not find an exact match, but I think that may be a head bust of a Cambodian woman. The top part on her head is called a crown.
Here are two results I found in my search
12/22/2017 at 1:01 pm in reply to: Possible Way to Prevent Buyers from "Renting" Clothes thru Ebay #29262I would offer that for the person with the intent of “renting”, they may forgo washing the item and simply steam it in order to leave the tag in place as has been depicted in TV shows. If you were to use a tag, it would need to be big enough and placed in such a way as to require removal in order to comfortably wear the item.
And even with all that, you may just get the person who says their item came without a tag.
On another note, for your more expensive name brand items, you may want to reduce the return time to something like 14 days. A short return window may deter some renters.
Jay,
Wow! What a powerful story and powerful article. We need to have more articles like this in here. It would be great to have a main forum under the Main Forums area where people can create forum threads sharing motivational articles, examples, and websites in order to remind others to keep going. In order to remind others about the fact that even when it gets hard and you find you are not where you want to be or that things did not work out as you planned, you can try again and keep going. I think this kind of main forum area would help when a member is experiencing a “what the heck is going on?” moment.Jay,
That is funny and yet makes some good points. I have never seen that before.
I guess anything us possible. What is a “girlboss”?
She can be both a hoarder and seller with unrealistic expectations and perceptions. Her need to hoard could be entangled with her perception that she is goig to sell the items. Unfortunately, those in hoard mode tend to have great difficulty letting go of what they have hoarded.
Retro Treasures,
This is laugh out loud funny. This could be a TV episode which would go down in infamy.
Just thought to share. If you really want to change the dynamic, go early with your wife. Be first at the door with the lady. When the doors open, you, your wife and your kids “rush” a whole other area of the store where this lady can see you. Take your time. Be intentional. Look at everything in the section. Look with the same aw, deep interest, and intensity in which you look at the clothes. Have only one person assigned to look at the clothes. Send them to the clothes once your time and energy has been established in this new area. Do this again the next time you go. Most likely, this lady will drift toward the area you are in. While the two times you go, you may not wind up with as many clothes, you will have changed the point of focus, energy, and control.

Hello,
Sorry to hear about your situation. Before you discuss this matter any further with PayPal, if you have not already, you may want to become very familiar with PayPal’s Seller Protection structure on their website.
https://www.paypal.com/us/webapps/mpp/brc/seller-protection-paypal-seller-benefit
In addition, you may want to make sure you have all necessary documentation available if the bank does rule against you.
It may be of benefit to call Ebay and let them know what is going on. If the customer kept the item and is now trying to claim that they did not authorize the transaction, it may be good to have this documented on the buyer’s account.
In addition, you may want to take some time to look at the buyer’s account and their feedback to see if you notice any red flags.
Stay calm and handle this as just another business transaction regardless of the outcome. Go list some items so your energy is spent moving forward and making sales while this thing goes through the channels.

This is a good learning opportunity for me. I have not had this kind of situation. If the buyer insists on shipping (since it has already been brought up) and he pays, how you would address that knowing what has been shared about the buyer?
12/19/2017 at 5:23 pm in reply to: Customer Wants Large Hobart Salad Dryer Shipped When Listed as Free Pickup #29089I just want to offer- trust your gut. If something is telling not to continue then don’t.
As far as losing the listing fee, spilt the cost of it in the listing price of 2 new items. Go list and make some sales and money.
Be careful how much time you spend on this. The more time spent on this questionable sale, the less time you have to list other items and keep moving forward.

Great Pictures. Good Pricing.
Just a few suggestions:
Put Nike Air Technology wording in your title line because it is part of it.
Take a close up of the Nike Air green bubble and make sure to rotate it so the words are easy to read.
Add an option for Standard Shipping if the shoes and packaging combined weigh under a pound.
Use the Item Condition bar to note flaws instead of just putting it in the description. This may help avoid a return because not all buyers read the description area.
If the number of watchers grows and the shoes do not sell by Christmas, put the shoes on auction with a starting price in the upper 30’s. You may wind up getting 40 or more for them.
Be patient with yourself. Learning to sell online is a learning process and you are a student of the process.
