So it can’t be done from an iPhone? You have to use a laptop or desktop? Gosh all my pictures are on my phone. Thank you for your quick reply.

You just find somewhere online where you can host your photos. Then put a link in the forum.

Thanks Jay I’m kind of computer Illiterate. I’m 59 and still learning. The grandkids are not around to help so I’m lost. I don’t know anything about hosting photos and linking things. I just thought it would be some type of button to push to add photos. But I enjoy reading the forum. Theres a lot of good info.

SandyGirl,
1) Go to imgur.com
2) click on the green rectangle that says “new post”
3) As it now instructs, either drag a photo to that grey box in the middle, or click “browse” to select a photo or set of photos from your computer
4) Now your “post” has been created, and on the right side of the screen you will see something like “https://imgur.com/a/” and right next to it a box that says “Copy”. Click on “Copy”.
5) Now go to the scavenger life website, and in your post in the forum, do a “paste” which is CTRL-V or CMD-V depending on what type of computer you use. You should see a imgur.com URL added to your post.Voila, you have now hosted your photo on imgur.com and inserted a link to it in your SL post.

I just realized you said all your photos are on your phone. I think you can follow my instructions on a phone, just when you go to “paste” in the forum, I think you need to tap on the screen to see the “paste” option or something like that.
Or maybe there’s an imgur app that makes this all easier on a phone, I’m not sure.

If you want, connect your phone to the computer using a 2 sided cord which should have come with your phone (one side has big metal piece for connecting to the computer and the other has a small piece for connecting to the phone). It should be a detachable piece from the main charger piece itself. Once you plug the computer into the phone, when you browse for pictures, go into your main file folder on the computer and look for the phone name itself which should appear. If it doesn’t, click on This PC. Then look for Devices and Drivers. If your phone is plugged in, you will see the name of it. Then click on the phone. Click on the pictures folder. You may have to take some time to explore this to find your pictures. I do not own an IPhone, so I am not sure of its exact setup when doing picture tranfers. Then navigate to the picture. You could also just do a picture phone dump and just download all of your pictures onto the computer.
Another option, call the company who provides your service and simply ask them for help transferring your pictures from your phone to the computer. This is within their perview and should not cost a dime.

Thank you for your help. I have an iPhone that my daughter brought me and I’m still learning how to use it too. I miss my android 😢. The computer I have is a MacBook Pro. My daughter is coming over to show me how to transfer my pictures, so hopefully I can post a picture today. Again thanks a bunch!👍🏻

Thanks everyone I found one shoe similar to mine. It’s not really worth much. So I will do a fix price. Maybe $20 to $25. I still couldn’t get the price off so I painted over it multiple times by matching the color then I sealed it. It worked out ok and the price cant be seen. I hope I did this EBay link right down below. Thanks again everyone.

I agree that you should price higher. They’re nice shoes. An easy $40 is where we would list.

SandyGirl,
Because yours are hard to find -I would offer that you price them higher than 25 with Best Offer. Hard to find shoes with a hard to find style/look might bring the buyer that wants just that and is okay with a higher price.

Thanks I will revise it to $40 and see how it goes.

Ok I changed the price to $39.99 and I noticed there are 2 watchers with 8 views. I put it online tonight. Here’s the listing I hope I did right by the description. I’m still learning even tho I’ve been on EBay for a while I don’t sell much. I guess I’m not a good picker or scavenger. https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F332492086662

Great Pictures. Good Pricing.
Just a few suggestions:
Put Nike Air Technology wording in your title line because it is part of it.
Take a close up of the Nike Air green bubble and make sure to rotate it so the words are easy to read.
Add an option for Standard Shipping if the shoes and packaging combined weigh under a pound.
Use the Item Condition bar to note flaws instead of just putting it in the description. This may help avoid a return because not all buyers read the description area.
If the number of watchers grows and the shoes do not sell by Christmas, put the shoes on auction with a starting price in the upper 30’s. You may wind up getting 40 or more for them.
Be patient with yourself. Learning to sell online is a learning process and you are a student of the process.

I tried putting Nike Air Technology in the Title but an EBay error came up saying it was a violation to put 2 different names (Cole Haan & Nike Air) in the same title that’s why I put it in the description. I will go back and change the other stuff you recommended. Thanks for the help I will try to be more encouraged about selling. I won’t give up💪.

Huh – I wonder if that’s a new restriction. I’ve sold Cole Haan Nike Air shoes in the past and didn’t have a problem with both names in the title. I just entered “cole haan nike air” into the ebay search bar, and there are thousands of listings that match.

i actually had the same issue with some Cole Haan Nike Air shoes recently. so weird. i just used Cole Haan and put nike air in the description.

I can identify with the lady before me trying to do this photo upload. I use my phone and iPad and no longer own a desktop computer. I went to the imgur.com site and installed the app to my iPad and then uploaded my photos to that site and then sent the link (my pics) over to this form. Is there a way to bypass this step and send photos from my iPad to the forum? Jay thank you for your reply earlier and you guys rock!!! Cheers for now

We dont host photos ourselves on this forum.
We just suggest imgur.com because its pretty easy and free, but you can upload your photo anywhere you’d like and post the link here.Ive seen people use Google Drive or other hosting systems.

Thanks to the both of you for your replies and helping me with this process. By the way, love the stories about eating found hamburgers and used Chapsticks. That’s a classic. Cheers for now.
