Hello anniethrifts,
In the Seller’s Hub on the right side there is a blue button that says Create a Promotion. It is a drop down menu. When you click on the down arrow, you will see Order discount. Click on that to set up your BOGO.
BOGO is buy one get one.
It should be under promotions.02/01/2018 at 10:45 pm in reply to: Looks like Ebay is partnering up with another Payment Processor #31900Here is a CNBC article on the payment processing transfer over.
https://www.cnbc.com/2018/02/01/why-ebay-abandoned-paypal-for-a-smaller-european-competitor.html01/31/2018 at 10:30 pm in reply to: Looks like Ebay is partnering up with another Payment Processor #31779This is a business and marketing strategy. As they state, buyers will not have to leave the platform
(go through another sign in and/or company experience) which will hopefully lead to increased conversion rates for ebay and its’ sellers. Anytime there is something between a buyer and checkout, there exists a possiblity for loss of sales because some buyers will not complete the process. In addition, any delay in seller’s getting their money can lead to unhappy sellers causing more time spent with customer service reps and even the possible loss of sellers. While ebay is going to keep PayPal as a payment option, it is probably only during the transition process and shortly after. They know getting rid of PayPal immediately will cause multilayered distruptions and they are currently legally bound to them because they have contracted with them until 2021. Most likely, PayPal (as long as the new payment system is phased in correctly and working) will be phased out. This is also a chance for them to gather more data on sellers – most likely similar data given to PayPal.
“As eBay transitions to a fully intermediated platform, it will work closely with its sellers to ensure that its new payment capabilities reflect their needs and deliver value to them.
To enable payments in their eBay accounts, sellers should expect to provide eBay with some additional payments-related data and transition to a new relationship with eBay that includes integrated payments capabilities.
Sellers will be required to complete these steps in order to continue selling on eBay, and it is anticipated that this transition for sellers will occur no later than one year after the expiration of eBay’s Operating Agreement with PayPal, i.e., by July 2021.”01/31/2018 at 9:51 pm in reply to: Buying shipping labels appears to have changed for multiple purchases #31775Hmm? I read through the promoted listings jargon and could not find anything about shipping. I could only find that jargon in the cross promotional jargon. If you did not put combined shipping in your listings, and you have time, you may want to call ebay to see what is going and what in your account triggered such action.
ChristineK,
It does not matter the item and/or value. Anyone selling a company’s products other than the company takes away from their sales, trademark protection, and rights as the only seller unless they contract with another vendor. While you may have one item for sale, you do not know how many others on various platforms are trying to sell their products. If a buyer buys a $12 hat from you , they have no need to buy the $20 dollar or more hat or other item from the company.
ChristineK,
An attorney and/or company rep was probably assigned to watch out for such instances. Google also has built in mechanisms that companies pay for to watch for any and all activity regarding their brand so they can take action to protect their product/business and avoid the loss of profit. Check your account to see if you notice anything different or any other messages from ebay. You can look under the Seller Hub which will have various sections of information about your account and about you as a seller. Make sure to scroll all the way down to see all offerings of information. If you have not received notice that your account is compromised and/or that your selling rights have been restricted, proceed forward doing what you do making sure not to list any of their products. Sometimes letting sleeping dogs lie is the best thing. If any further concern and/or action is taken, you will be notified. At that time, call ebay with your facts in hand. Take a facts only approach (no emotion, judgement or buts) and then move forward from there.

Were the books on sale? If so, this is what the cross promotional terminology identifies will happen. This is what sellers agree to without realizing it when they click on Launch. The legal terminology is in a link next to the word Launch titled Terms and Conditions.

01/31/2018 at 8:08 pm in reply to: Looks like Ebay is partnering up with another Payment Processor #31745Well, we have seen how well ebay does with transitions that are options and/or technology related, so I guess we can expect to practice higher levels of patience and scratching of our heads from when the transition begins until at least 2023.

It sounds like there was a potential buyer or buyers who were not clear as to your offerings in your listing or as to how to go about purchasing from your listing and they let ebay know about it.
I am just curious how you have continued to move forward as a seller and adjusted your selling strategy.
I would offer that since diversification and being flexible in skill, knowledge base, and practice are key components to long term success in ecommerce, it may be good to look for videos that focus on ecommerce (online business as a practice), marketing, and/or key business skills and/or practices. As has been clearly delineated here in SL and by J & R, being ready for other opportunities and the ebb and flow of business will bring stability, longevity, possibility, and opportunity.
I think that is a rice server/holder/container. It looks very similar to what is brought out when rice is ordered as a separate entree.
I would think selling items with this logo could hurt sales due to the fact that it is in the social consciousness, is considered to have a negative and hurtful connotation, and is causing division among many.
Linda,
Just an idea. Instead of liquidating, 1. ask ebay to turn off all sales in your store. 2. Do not list new items. 3. Put an extended handling time (such as 30 days) which would allow you to sell off your inventory and enjoy your other life activities. 4. Open a new account and either ask ebay to move everything over with clean coding or end your lower priced item listings and move them over to your new account. Because your new account will not have feedback, having just the lower priced items may help them move quickly, gain feedback, and help you clear inventory. You could also sprinkle in some of your higher priced items. Then as ebay works on your old account, you will have been building a new clean account. You could then (at your leisure) add new lower priced items to draw traffic, make sales, gain feedback, and still allow yourself the opportunity to sell on ebay if you wish to do so even on a part-time basis. I know at first this might take time but it may afford you an opportunity to continue to earn some extra money if you choose to do so.
Best Wishes on this situation and whatever it is you choose to do in your life.
