I’ll sell it to whoever is willing to buy it…
07/10/2017 at 6:16 pm in reply to: Scavenger Life Episode 318: Spending Money Should Be Painful #20213I just listened to the podcast.
It’s is amazing how much controlling our weight and controlling our finances have in common. Neither one is difficult to figure out, yet they can be almost impossible to master. Eat Less/
Exercise More vs. Spend less/Earn more.It sounds like the guy who Emailed you with all the debt, really needs Dave Ramsey.. I don’t agree with everything he teaches, but for people out of control he is very effective.
Thanks..
You may want to consider eliminating a step, by writing the complete listing out in the beginning including shipping, pricing etc. This way you won’t have to revisit the details in your mind again.
Then after taking the photos, you can just hit list.
Since I walk a lot, I received a gift of a really nice pair of running shoes. I was told in no uncertain terms that I was not allowed to put them on Ebay.
Some people just know me.
Here it is.. I think.. Plus there are others.
This is aftermarket, but you get the idea.. Search Mustang Magnum center. The magnum 500 wheels were popular on many cars in the late 60’s and 70’s
Looking at the first item my I am thinking that is possibly a center cap for one of the wheels. The prongs on the back are similar to other items I’ve seen in the past.
That’s the direction I would be looking in to identify it.
Great finds… Good luck.
They may be paying with a stolen credit card or the like. They get you to refund the difference and then you lose the initial payment.
You did the smart move, by avoiding them altogether.
If nobody checks you are probably fine.
I receive stuff all the time with underpaid postage. sometimes way underpaid.
If they catch it, they’ll make the buyer pay the difference. It would probably be 2 lb Priority Retail at that point.
Most likely it will never be checked or flagged.
Do you want to roll the dice?

It’s your decision.
I had someone do this to me, and I just paid them everything except shipping. I lost a little money, but I decided to avoid any possible conflicts or retribution and be done with it.
Yes Steven you are correct my higher priced items are long shots at best. A few higher priced sales every week, would clearly boost my numbers and put me in a lot better shape.
I have put more of my items as a “best offer” and it’s been paying off. I am running more sales and also seeing results from that. It’s been a slow month for listing due to other things going on in my life, but my sales are no worse, and may even be better.
Thanks again everyone…
Thank you Simon for taking the time and looking.
Hats actually do sell for me. I try to price them according to relevance and scarcity. I agree some are rather high, but I think the prices are justified. You’ll also see I’ve got hats priced below $20.
In addition, I made a decision not to subsidize the shipping expenses. I do ship all my hats in a box. I started a post in the shipping forum to get an idea what other members think about reasonable shipping expenses. It’s not just what the USPS charges us.
Again I appreciate the comments and am not closing the door on any of your suggestions.
My favorite is when they print the Ebay listing with the “For Sale Price” included, as if this is a guarantee of value.
When I see this, I just move on. I’m not their customer.
