I did some shopping to see what buyers were seeing in mens casual shirts and saw this. Is this what ebay is intending or a glitch? Description and item specifics showing up in the search results. This is on every listing not just people who paid for subtitles
I have a question regarding punctuation / special characters in titles. I think you said that ebay is saying not to have any in your title. Ironically when ebay prefills your title from their product catalog for books, music and movies there is usually lots of punctuation. Would you recommend taking that out? Did they say anything about catalog product titles including punctuation. They often have ( ) and : and …
When shopping on your phone you don’t see the entire description unless you click on the arrow. So I think you may want to make sure pertinent information is in the item specifics and description so people can see that information without going further into the listing. For example the size of your medusa wall hanging. Since a large percent of sales are said to come from devices I think it pays to look at your listings on your phone and see how you want them to appear.
Retro Treasures I figured out a way to make my photos square when the originals not. I use a website called Picmonkey. I already was paying a subscription to the site for when I want to make collages. All I do is start with a white square and overlay my photo on the square. It takes me 23 seconds to do one. It’s really only 2 steps. Upload my photo to the site and then export but it takes about 4 clicks. I can do it pretty fast in an assembly line fashion.

Wondering if anyone attending complained to ebay staffers about the lack of communication and the lack of help from customer service with all of the recent glitches? Any acknowledgement by ebay that they could communicate better?
TSatt are you saying you relist every 30 days not sell similar? And you are seeing the increase in sales in the early and latter part of the month that you mentioned in a previous thread. I guess I thought you were doing sell similar. Why is relisting better than sell similar? I thought it was the other way around.

I got that survey too and haven’t answered it yet. I’m not a great writer. If someone wants to write a good summary for me of a couple of things like the status page being more detailed and current and maybe customer service reps having current bug information I’ll copy and paste it into my survey….I know a lot of you on here are better at describing things things ’cause I read you all the time!
Retro Treasures you can crop your photos to square right in Poshmark. Otherwise I use my Photo app on my macbook to crop them. I do it one by one not in batch but it takes me seconds. Usually my main photo is already square because that is what ebay uses for the gallery shot.
Well darn, I just trusted that other people were following the rules. You’re right though. I checked the rules, shoulda done that to start and no homegoods allowed. You can get kicked off for listing them. Watch as my excitement fades…I decided to take mine down. I’d only listed two non fashion items. I’m too much of a goody two shoes to buck the system. I’m glad you told me. Maybe someday they will expand the site.
I noticed this morning some people list other things beside clothing, jewelry and shoes. I don’t know how much they are selling but hopefully the market there will grow. This seller even has vintage items listed.

I’mm kind of excited about this. Since Poshmark has already proven to be a successful platform maybe it stands a chance at being an alternative platform for selling other things.
So I just realized that I can list from my computer to Poshmark. Wasn’t it previously a phone only app? This is great because my photos are more accessible on my computer so this saves me a couple of steps. Now I can choose to use my computer if I’m home or do some listing when I’m outside or in a waiting room etc. I’m up to 27 listings now. All items cross posted from ebay. I like how when you price your item it immediately tells you what your profit will be. No calculations necessary. No additional fees afterward.
