I don’t think diminishing returns are true for resellers. Say you buy a pair of shoes for $1 and sell it for $50. What’s to keep you from buying 50 more pairs of shoes with that income and selling each one for $50? Now you have $2500. (Minus fees.) You can actually start out with zero money and build a large business as Jay and Ryanne have. They started just selling odds and ends they already had. I started that way too. In the past few years I have sold over $100K without taking any money out of our bank. I just opened up a separate Ebay checking account and whatever I sell goes into it; whatever I source comes out of it. I don’t see any diminishing returns with 1200+ items in my store and 2-6K/month income. It was all started pretty much with nothing but has contributed quite a bit towards an early mortgage pay off plus many other purchases for our home. And all was done as more of a hobby than a job while managing a home and having a life.

As “How do you quantify a weird smell?” Then block them.

Went to an auction yesterday, in spite of my no buying intentions, just because they pictured some nice kitchen chairs I was interested in for us. The auctioneer couple are actually friends since I have gone to their auctions for years, so that’s always a bonus. I bought four black painted Hendrix chairs for $140. They look like they could bring around $400 on Ebay, so I plan to list them and use them until they sell. Also bought a large red distressed Persian rug for $55 that I think will do well. Got a big stack of antique photos for $35 and spent $45 on bits of jewelry that will also do nicely. It’s a danger to go to an auction to “just buy something for myself”–so many random temptations. And I left halfway through it.
I like this type of auction where they just walk thru a house and empty it out. Not a lot of competition. No taxes. Best of all, they don’t charge a “premium”.

You can also go to a previous ebay sale shipment and Print Another Label. Change the name and address and ship it however you wish. However it will mess up the record on that previous shipment I’m sure, and you may look like you shipped it late.
It only takes about 2 minutes to sew on a button. Less time than you are spending avoiding it. Why not just do it and get more money?
That is amazing dedication for someone with a FT job, and working alone with no support! Keep that up and you will soon be getting cheers instead of jeers. Money talks. Do you have any specific goals for your income? By the way, non-trash elves are always going to not get it. Clueless about our “bug”. ?
I believe it is a sauce dish and spoon. Asian dishes use various sauces. The shape of the spoon lends itself to spreading sauce like soy sauce or chili sauce over a plate.
We have a kenmore washer and dryer about ten yrs old. Got them because of how good they used to be. Theybare the worst rhings I ever had. Both are a constant problem and have never worked right. Stay away!
Yes, it makes me feel like the proverbial Pavlovian dog when that happens. We have been condition by Ebay. ?
That’s such an awesome testimony. I have sold for years, but am looking forward to whenever my husband retires so we can become a team, too. Keep up the great work!

I knew another pedicam driver dowwntown–an author who I once invited to speak at my book club. We should organize a meet-up sometime. There are so many STL sellers!
