Thanks everyone for the replies. I do use GSP exclusively for larger, more expensive items. For any low priced items, that can be shipped cheaply via First Class International or Ebay’s Standard Delivery, I go that route as I get an increase in sales that make up for a situation like this if I have to take a complete hit. As for this case in specific, I did click on the option that I can’t send a shipping label and on the return it does mention to wait for buyer to send the item back. Who knows? It seems like the ball is already on the buyer’s side of the court. Only time will tell.
Hi, Mark, thanks for the tip. Question, I did see that option, but what does that do exactly? Thanks
No, I do sell some clothing but I’m mostly a hard goods, “everything” store. Mostly sell vintage items, media (records, CDs, video games), toys, electronics, and everything in between. I’ve thought about going all in on just one platform but my original thought was to diversify and not have everything in one basket. Essentially, my original thinking was to have a backup to eBay in case it went belly up on us, for whatever the reason.
I wouldn’t want to derail the thread but I do disagree on the crossposting. I currently have around 5500 items on eBay and have been crosslisting to Mercari for about a year now and have about 1500 items there. Sales on Mercari are getting very close to those of eBay which is impressive because I don’t even have even a third than what I do on Ebay. From what I have seen, should I have the same number of listings on both platforms, I would definitely sell more on Mercari than what I do on eBay. Now, this is the only platform I crosslist to and do not have experience with other platforms as far as cross posting. As far as removing from one platform and vice versa when an item sells, I have gotten already used to always remove the items as soon as it sells through mobile device. It’s not that bad. It has been months since I had an item double selling and even then it wasn’t happening that often either. I’m top rated plus on eBay.
Hi, sorry for the lateness of my reply. I did not find it but a friend who I source from often did. We were trying to come up with a price that would work for us both. I did pay up a hefty penny but I was able to sell it in only a few days. Here’s the sold listing:

I think I could have gotten more for it but it was in rough shape and it needed quite a bit of restoration.
Same item as the top, just different listing, thank you.

I think they are messing around with the site. I was just listing some postcards and most of the categories in the postcard section are gone. I can now only choose “Topographical Postcards” or “Non-Topographical Postcards.” Hopefully this is not a permanent category adjustment as no one is going to be able to find any postcards under just those two sections.
Hi, Jay, are you guys still using inkfrog? I’m giving it a try just for listings backup for $30 seems a little steep, yet again if anything goes haywire with eBay (which does so more than not) it would actually be a very small price to pay for a backup. We currently have 5100 listings up.
09/17/2021 at 4:41 pm in reply to: How To Handle Global Shipping NOT AS DESCRIBED Returns ( Please Read ) #93129Just got off the phone with eBay and they mentioned the same line as always, to get a quote from the buyer so we can send the funds to them for the return shipping label.
09/17/2021 at 3:54 pm in reply to: How To Handle Global Shipping NOT AS DESCRIBED Returns ( Please Read ) #93127So I just received an Item NOT AS DESCRIBED case for Global Shipping Program order. I have not accepted the return or done anything to it, but in the eBay instructions it is asking me to provide them a label. I want to know how to approach it right this time. Does NOT doing anything still apply even under Managed Payments? Previously, how the eBay reps have instructed me to proceed was to get a shipping quote from the buyer and then provide them with the funds via Paypal. So what is the process under Managed Payments for an item not as described? Has anyone had this issue strictly under MP and how did you handled it? Thank you
Thank you, MyCottage!
Early termination fee waive started a few weeks back. I confirmed with anchor support then and downgraded to Premium. How it worked for me is that the system told me I had to pay the full month of Anchor and starting April 1 I would be under Premium. I am not sure if you downgrade starting in April if you would still have to pay that month in full and your new subscription would start essentially on May 1.
Technically, if it is outside the return window, there is nothing you need to do on your part. However, if they were to do an INAD CC Chargeback, there would be nothing you could do as eBay does not fight these type of chargebacks for you. Essentially you would still be out the moneys.
That page is from 2013 if I’m not mistaken. Check the URL.
I’ve always wondered myself as well. When I see an open return request or case, I see the available funds go down that amount. However, when sending the refund to buyer, available funds go down again that amount. What gives? I’m sure it’s just optics and didn’t pay twice on it, but it sure is confusing.
