Wow, thanks for this amazing post Arizona Mike! Very good to know. I have thrown out-YES-thrown out many a thing that would have been perfect for a set. I just did not have the room or time to sell and at the time I was not selling on ebay. I, like Jay and Ryanne, used to pick up anything, and everything I found in my travels (in the neighborhood, that is). However, now with this virus, I have passed up much, and am not sure I’ll be picking up anything anymore. Kinda concerned about picking things up now.
I love watching what Steve sells! But I liked when Ryanne did it too. I am a-mazed at the prices Steve gets for his items. I only wish I had the knowledge he has about these electronics as I quite often come across them. But I have enough going on-trying to rid of what I already have. I am in no danger of running out of resources for at least another year. I just want stuff “gone”. Thanks Steve!
I was determined to stop selling on ebay. NOT because I don’t love it-I do. The storage thing is my problem. I cannot stand to live in clutter. Finally, I started getting cardboard boxes from the grocery store, and grabbing things to put in them for sale. Still not done, but I moved it all to my garage and can I just tell you how much better I feel? I was worried I may be on the next episode of “HOARDERS-Buried Alive!”. Lol. I also found myself getting more organized at home (again-not done yet) and enjoying being home more.
Jay is right, he is a living artist. Call me crazy, but I have found art at the thrift stores and when I Google them, if they are alive, I contact them! I know, right? So far, they have gotten a kick out of it and are very nice and have answered my questions. If you do decide to go that route, you might want to hurry. He is 79 years old. Try dropping an e-mail. Why not?
A few years ago, I found about 12 of these 11″ X 14″ acrylic paintings of musicians and only purchased 1 (all I could afford at the time) and scored this painting of Jimi Hendrix. Turns out the Artist was moving out of his state (can’t remember which) and was moving to Ohio when I contacted him. He was really nice, and flattered that I contacted him. To be fair, he is I think in his 30’s, but I did not know that at the time. When he asked how I came to own his painting, I changed the subject. Didn’t want to insult him and let him know that they found their way to the Salvation Army! All very valid points! Ugh, I wish I had first passed this through the forum, prior to listing the item on ebay. I have a couple hundred more of the molds, so now I know! I truly did not see it as a “flaw”. I guess I a little over zealous when I listed. Thank you to everyone who shared their thoughts, I truly appreciate it.
Sharyn, I agree. I have another mold and it is identical with the exact same markings. I just felt that the markings were obvious in the photos.
Below is the other mold that I still have. Thanks so much.Thank you, Antique Frog!
Here are some of the marionettes I currently have, if anyone knows anything about any of them Thanks so much!Thank you debitsandcredits and Mike. The buyer did state in her email that she “didn’t like the line going through the cookie mold.” I feel that the photo clearly showed the line. But I appreciate both your advice and comment. I will get back to her today. Always good to hear another perspective.

I appreciate that and will definitely do that. I have to dig out the elephant marionette. I cannot remember where, oh where I put it. In the meantime, I have this pair. I don’t want to let them go. I really like these two!
Thank you, Anastasia. So far, I have just not responded to her. I don’t want to give her a reason to leave a bad review. I was unsure of what to do. If she asks again, I will remind her about my no returns policy.
05/30/2020 at 7:02 am in reply to: Darn Item Specifics – What “Fabric Type” is a Cotton T-Shirt? #77930The word “t-shirt” is a generic term and is actually the style of the garment. Hold both your arms out as you stand in the mirror-you have the letter “t”. After that, t-shirts can be made of any fiber content, print or solid. For your basic tee, made of 100% cotton, I would call it “combed cotton”, or for a mixed fiber, poly/cotton blend-or whatever fiber: cellulose, silk, bamboo, etc. You can also “write in”-sometimes it may be pre-populated, but you can change it.
For some odd reason, my post office does this. I will order an item online, I will get a notification that the item has been delivered to me and I won’t get it. When I went to the post office, they assured me that it was going to be delivered the next day and stated that the mail carrier just marks it “delivered” because it arrived at the post office. Not the same as “delivered” to the purchaser. When I asked the post office why they would do that, they just said, “it depends on the mail carrier”.
