I am a small time seller. In one way, shape, or form, I work on my store 7 days a week. The more practice, the better I get. I spend alot of time learning and studying about selling online, ebay etc through various sources (SL, videos, ebay itself, articles, online resources, talking to people etc.) in order to better understand the selling process. I am constahtly learning the best ways to list, what to list, what not to list, when to leave an item up for the long haul and when to take an item down because it has not sold. I go between using the list and forget it method and the list it and tend to it methods. Just when I think – ok, I am going to use the list and forget it method, I find myself checking to see what is going on. The more I learn, the more I try to update my listings/store in order to get better at this selling thing. Right now, the get rid of things bug has really hit me, so in addition to tending to what I already have listed and items I have to list, I am doing a deep “scavenge” into my closets to find items I might have once considered not for sale. I am also working on listing items friends and family have given me.
That is impressive T-Satt.
Sounds like you have really built up a good rhythm and overall business approach.
Thank you for sharing.
It sounds like you guys have such an organized ebay rhythm which can be hard to do. It really helps to see what pacing other sellers have established. Do either one of you have a “must” list amount each day or listing period?

Copy BethGreens exact words “bust”/Action Figures and paste them into the search bar. You can also just type in bust/action figures. The listings are there and really need to be separated into the adult section immediately. It seems that there is a error in ebay’s filtering system that needs to be fixed ASAP.

That is horrible. I am not sure how other sellers can help because it appears that it is based on your search findings. You may want to start a specific seperate thread to make other sellers aware of this problem and as to what to do when they see it. I can not believe ebay has allowed something like that to occur and not taken it down immediately when reported.
The mannequin is good but not mandatory. How about in front of your bathroom door or even better, why not get a white board or two from a store such as Target, Walmart, The Dollar Tree or $.99 Cents store. These can be easily taped up when you need to take pictures and taken down. Also, check the lighting and filtering features on your phone. They can be very helpful in turning a dark picture into a well lit picture and final lighting touches can be done within the ebay listing.
On another note,it might be of benefit to see if there are items you could put on sale (that maybe arn’t moving or gaining views) in order to move them out of your space. This might help with clearing your space as well as give you an organizational opportunity.

What do you sell?
For most items (and for safety purposes), I would think you can prop them up against a white door. The mannequin is portable, so when you are using it, put it in front of a white door. As for clothes, get an over the door hanger on which you can hang clothes you do not put on the maneequin. Clean backgrouds are actually very important because presentation matters although things do sell when in front of other kinds of backgrounds.
04/01/2018 at 12:33 am in reply to: A store subscription level between Premium and Anchor (may even 2) #36810I would offer that you simply add the 10 cents onto every listing price (including those you are going to relist) for which you have gone over. Then keep listing. Activity helps activity. New listing titles help in search results – buyers like to see new things.
Personally,
If I received that after purchasing it from an ebay seller (and was not a seller), I might think – um, what do you mean sanitized? Where was this or what was on it? Sanitized is a much stronger word than cleaned. I think it is just Salvation’s Army way of keeping track of inventory and letting buyers know that items are cleaned/sanitized before being sold which not all thrift stores do. With that said, I would take it off. It was really just for the buyer who bought the scarf from the Salvation Army.
I think ebay buyers assume that items are clean when they receive them unless otherwise stated or needed. Other sellers might have a different opinion.
Other sellers have shared the shipping mistakes they have made in this selling process, so you are not alone in making a shipping mistake. At least you were honest and handled it as a professional. That goes along way. You made a mistake and did so without intention, so while ebay policy may dictate a defect, I don’t know that it is deserved. If you get a defect, you may want to call ebay, explain the mistake, and ask for a one time courtesy removal especially if the rest of your selling record is in good shape. It would be interesting to know how the situation works out.

If the funds have not been automatically credited as Ryanne stated (check your Paypal account), I would offer that you very calmly and professionally call back and speak to a supervisor. That doesn’t make sense that you have to remember to ask for it. It’s part of what is refunded because it should not have been taken out in the first place. This is just my opinion, other sellers might have a different opinion.03/30/2018 at 2:45 pm in reply to: I challenged an INAD case and won; can I get return label credit? #36759Yes, you can get your $23 dollars back. Buyer’s remorse is not a covered return. Just stick to the facts instead of the “story” when you call. I would offer that you “speak in bullet points”
”
• the first thing
• the 2nd thing
• the third thingBased on these factors, I would like to have the $23 return shipping label cost refunded. ”
Stay away from long explainations and/or emotional factors – these tend to convolute the resolve of your request for an action to be taken – the return of the money for the return label provided to the buyer.
I only have surface level knowledge about selling and disinfecting shoes.
This is what I have found so far.
1. lysol wipes might be an option – depending on the type of shoe
2. https://healthyliving.azcentral.com/how-to-disinfect-used-shoes-12126476.html.
3. Check YouTube for videos about this – there are several
Thank you for the link.
There are some great resources online about ways to deal with old shoes and warding off foot fungus. Are you looking for advice from experienced sellers only or general topic information?
