I had entered dimensions and weight for an oversize item. They charged the buyer $31 for parcel and the calculator said it would cost me $67. I called ebay and they agreed it was the calculator’s fault and gave me a credit for the difference. I am also seeing a general problem with the shipping labels interface where not all options are listed, like the only “Carrier Packaging” being once choice, not all possibilities.
I seem to remember hearing on the podcast that some international buyers intentionally ask for an invoice because it kicks the order out of the Global Shipping Program. Since I heard that, I never send invoices to GSP buyers. If they are having a technical problem, I encourage them to call ebay.
Thanks, Christian. I was able to have a chat session on their website. Thank you for telling me about the denimbro site. I’m always looking for more resources!
I chatted with Levi’s and the rep said it is true vintage, probably from the early 1980’s, based on the stamped “524.” He said big E was used until 1984.
Mine does not have the satiny side tags that come in the newer jackets. The label I have shown is the only interior label. I’m comparing with LVC’s on ebay and their tags look different so far.
I tried some different search terms. I should add the number printed on the underside of the buttons is “524.” I’m finding conflicting information on whether or not this is a vintage number. I checked for one like this in SOLDS and one sold for $73.

Thank you for all you do.
Thank you for this. I keep hearing glowing testimonials from others at auctions about how much they make at the antique mall. I researched it and didn’t see how it would make sense. The online articles about “how to succeed at the antique mall” said you’ll mostly sell items under $10, not high dollar.
I wish I had blocked him. He sent me a message complaining that if I didn’t take offers, I should take that off because it “wastes both of our time.” I offered him a cancellation but he didn’t reply.
Thanks for the replies. The buyer bought at full price, so now I feel I’m in a different quandary. I don’t want to get a defect by cancelling. I’m going to have to figure something out.
I think there is a setting in Site Preferences, but I’m not certain where it is. Maybe someone else here does. I called ebay and they took care of it for me and I no longer get messages from blocked users.
I had a “disabled veteran senior citizen” offer me $100 on a $269 rare discontinued cologne. Nope.

I have called ebay and gotten final value fee credits for partial refunds given to buyers. You’re right that it won’t happen automatically.
10/21/2018 at 10:25 pm in reply to: Bidder trying to get discount and free shipping after auction ended #50485P.S. She sent a second message asking how many “mL” were left. I described the partial amount in a percentage. Don’t know how to tell her mL without pouring it out and measuring it. Not going to do it.
