So, ebaymom, in order to get the included $50/$100 (depending on your TRS status) of insurance for priinting Priority Mail labels through Ebay, you have to check the box to insure each item?
Oops! I’ve never done that. I just assumed that the insurance was automatic if you printed through Ebay. Didn’t realize you had to go through the step of actually checking the insurance box. Guess it’s a good thing I’ve never had a lost or damaged package under this assumption.
I thought you were talking about insuring items over the $100 level or First Class items. That’s the instance where I use Shipsaver.
I’d be annoyed, too, but just wondering if there’s any reason people prefer USPS insurance over Shipsaver? Shipsaver has much lower prices and, in my experience, their customer service is excellent.

Love your videos for the knowledge you share and the animal antics at the end. The Lassie music on a recent one made me LOL. Thanks SO much for making these every week.
Nancy, thanks for this. I looked at it a couple years ago and the app only thing was a deal breaker for me. My pics are all on my computer and I hate listing on phones.
Personally, I don’t pin clothes, although these days I mostly use a M/L dress form that I bought from a local Coldwater Creek store when they were all closing a few years ago. Already had an XS/S one. If something looks ridiculously large on the form, I generally switch to a flat lay because I think it’s pretty important to show the true lines.
Over the years, I’ve had a small number of people contact me to ask if the clothing was pinned in a particular listing.

Just came over here hoping to see that I wasn’t the only one with this issue. Saved myself a phone call.
I never planned on joining in on free returns, but I got the offer from Ebay that they’d cover the return postage for items listed or relisted before a certain date in June, so I figured I had nothing to lose by switching over. So far, I’ve only had one return and it was a FC package, so not a big deal.
I list 30 day FP and recently had a bunch of listings end. At the last minute, I remembered to change back to buyer pay returns or I would’ve been stuck with free returns with no Ebay reimbursement on the relists.
Honestly, I doubt that free returns will help me much in search for the hodgepodge of items I sell and, even if I don’t lose money, I just don’t want to deal with it. I’m transitioning away from clothes and have a lot of breakable stuff listed that I’m sure would come back damaged and/or would be a PITA to repack.
Haven’t listened to any of them, but judging by the number of webinars on this subject as well as the offer they sent to reimburse me for costs, I’m guessing the number of sellers jumping on the bandwagon is less than they projected.
I haven’t look at tees in ages. Should start checking them out again.
Interesting that there’s a market for kids ones. My youngest son (26 now) has been heavily into music since about age 10 and Hot Topic was his favorite mall stop. I have a whole bag of youth larges that I couldn’t bear to part with at the time (Something Corporate, Taking Back Sunday, Death Cab for Cutie, et al). Maybe I should hold on to them for another 16 years:)
I meant to start that with wishing Ryanne and Jay a happy birthday month!
It was in a different context than business, but I used the “sweet spot” term with my husband the other night in regard to age. I’ll turn 60 next month and my husband is 65. He’s been retired for five years and my small Ebay business is mostly for extras, so I can turn it on and off. Our three kids are self-sustaining and out of the house. We have truly never been happier. I said that we had to enjoy this “sweet spot” while we’re still healthy and active, but I think that sweet spot can last into the next decade and maybe even the one after that.
I could go on and on about happiness through the decades. Every decade of my life, so far, has been the happiest.
He’s adding the possibility of a group called “The Wrecking Crew”. Says he may be wrong about Phil, but feels fairly confident about Ronnie.
Sent him a text of the pic. He floated the possibility of Phil Spector and Ronnie (from Ronnie and the Ronettes) being two of the group. They were married at some point.
He also said that they have some of those same mic stands at the studio and they’re from the early 70’s.
That’s an awesome picture! Don’t recognize anyone. My son works at a recording studio in NYC. I’ll text him the pic and see if he can get any answers by showing it to his coworkers. Sort of looks like rudimentary recording equipment in back, doesn’t it?
