Losing Top Rated Seller Status

I’m really trying to stay positive with selling on eBay, I have taken a couple of weeks with less listing. I’m doing some listings this morning, however, and notice that my top rated seller status is forecast to be downgraded to above standard. I’m not exactly sure why.

Ok, I’m looking at the different categories and it looks like maybe I’ve got the glitch in “Tracking uploaded on time and validated” because that category looks seriously out of whack and I’m not late in shipping. I see there is another category for this glitch.

Again, trying to stay positive, but ebay is making it really hard for the last month or two.

Have to admit to feeling the same as you. I’m a waaaay smaller seller than most, but it’s incredibly demoralizing to watch all this going on; multiple glitches; no communication; long-established sellers being tanked in favor of new sellers; and to wonder whether it’s worth the effort?

I’m plodding along and will continue to do so because I have so much inventory in Death Piles, but I’m not sure if this is going to be my long-term income option any more.

I think there’s another bug. We’re also predicted to lose TRS because their system says we havent uploaded enough tracking. 22.76% 94 of 413 transactions

We in no way didnt upload tracking for 315 items.

Just another bug. I’d give it a little time.

Definitely a glitch. If you lose TRS, so will everyone else, so we’ll all be in the same boat. Definitely another eBay hiccup. Guess they plan on keeping us entertained.

Agreed. And if we lost TRS, we’d have little reason to continue free returns.

Well, I lost it on the 20th of the month. It was for the “tracking uploaded and scanned” reason, and I know that it wasn’t right but there was no fighting it. Hope it’s just a glitch for the rest of you. I took off free returns and I’m going to a longer handling time since I don’t have TRS to maintain any longer.

I’m in the same boat guys. I just saw that I’m predicted to be Above Standard due to tracking rate. I never miss my handling time either, so it’s definitely incorrect.

Mine also says that over 70% of my listings don’t qualify for Top Rated Status currently and that I should change my handling time to same day or 1 day and offer 30 day returns in order for the items to qualify for top rated status. I checked the listings and everything is already set up that way! When I went to go edit the listings it showed that the handling and return info is already correct; HOWEVER, it gives me a warning saying that I need to change all my listings to free returns in order for the listings to qualify for Top Rated Status, not Top Rated Plus, just regular Top Rated.

I just called Ebay to see what’s going on and there is a recording right when you call that states Ebay is aware that some sellers are showing incorrect tracking information and they are working on trying to correct this.

Annie: I just called and I got the same message on the Concierge Line. Looks like they are on it.

Side Note: Why didn’t they use that message when the photo dropping happened last week? Would have saved a lot of headaches! Admit the issue and get in front of it.

I noticed about a week ago that I no longer have a badge stating Top Rated Seller on any of my listings, I am still TRS. Or was that badge just for TRS+?

Steve: That badge is for TRS+, so it is at the listing level.
