Very nice of you to take the time to do the research and donate them.
I wipe insoles with lysol-type wipes, but not sure if that would truly kill any fungus among us.
Like Jay said, it’s either something you worry about, or not. If it’s a great concern, personally, I’d just stay away from selling used shoes.
Thanks for the transcript, Amatino! Great job!
For a seller, yes, but not for a buyer.
The purchases have been hidden for all buyers for some time now.
I’ve had a few buyers over the years who had private feedback and have never had an issue. I think it used to be more of a thing when other members were able to see what someone had purchased by clicking on their feedback. I don’t quite see the point of it any longer.
I have a small store of 200ish items. Been a TRS+ since it was invented. Right now I’m about 80% clothing, shoes and accessories, but with the race to the bottom in those categories, bit by bit, I’m transitioning to this/that.
Over the past six months or so, I’ve been doing mostly free shipping with a 20% restocking fee and my CS&A return rate is about 4-5%. Ironically, instead of the upcoming changes prompting me to be more buyer-friendly, I’m heading in what Ebay likely views as the opposite direction. Won’t be doing free return shipping, which means no more 10% FVF discount, therefore, no reason to knock myself out with 1-day handling either. In light of Ebay taking away the restocking fee, I won’t be doing free outgoing shipping either. We’ll see if sales crash. I’m not expecting that they will.
I “stitch” groups of 2-4 photos together to make one photo. There are several free tools to use, but I’ve always liked this one:

Very cool! Definitely NOS with tag. As you suspected, those little holes were a coding system. Anyone but me old enough to remember punch card machines in offices?
Hope you do well with it.
You mean it’s not any longer? Tell that to my main floor bathroom, please 🙂
I probably do about half/half free/calculated shipping. When checking comps, if it seems the vast majority of similar sold items had free shipping, I’ll generally up the price and do the same. If it’s a clothing item (4% return rate category for me), I charge a 20% restocking fee for items with free shipping.
Another part of the equation, if you’re a TRS, is that the 10% FVF discount is not given for the FVF on shipping, only the item price.
Last night I was messaging back and forth with someone about some boots I was selling. The package will weigh 5 lbs. and I listed with calculated shipping. Item didn’t have best offer on it, but he contacted me and asked if I would take an unusual figure which included dollars and cents. I realized that he was basically subtracting his shipping cost from the listing price and using that as his offer. It was a big sale, so I was happy to work with him, but instead of taking the lower item price offer amount, I told him I’d change the listing to “free shipping”. That way I get the 10% discount on that $20 shipping, since it’s rolled into the item price.
Doesn’t make a huge difference on one item, but if you’re a TRS with a large volume of sales (not me), it would add up.

Excellent, Mark!
Very cool! Great detective work!
