I’ve noticed as well that garage sales are being listed more on FB marketplace than CL the last couple of years. Also, Ive gone on wild goose chases following some miss placed pin locations on the CL/Yard Sale app locations, I sometimes forget to check the address listed that doesn’t match the pin location.

I do all my FB listing on my iPad or Iphone, in those notification settings there are FB notifications with one specifically for marketplace.
Yes, you get a FB message that an item has sold. Perhaps there is a setting for notifications that needs to be turned on.
I believe you are paid 5 days after item is received by the buyer so as to give them time to evaluate and raise a complaint.
I’ve only sold one item via FB with shipping, other times I’ve had the buyer use paypal and bought my own shipping. They initiated contact before buying though, I’m not sure if there’s a way to list an item with shipping that you buy yourself.
Personally I think removing the background looks bad, the picture of it on a wood surface looks so much more pleasing.
Also, try an avoid having your finger in a photo, especially a closeup, it’s distracting. Call the ‘scrape’ a minor blemish.

I am of the mind that my phone is the most important piece of equipment for my ebay business so I get a new iPhone every few years, always a better camera than the last model and better security.
I’ve had an XS for a couple years now and am considering a 12. A $1000 for the core piece of my online business makes sense to me.
