Wow, thats a great old tech sale.
Jay, as to your Facebook Marketplace sales. It so true about the flakey buyers and sellers, but like eBay there is a learning curve as to the ins and outs of selling on that platform. Like getting the “Is it still available” message within minutes of posting your listing. It’s actually quite easy to weed out the scammers as they are usually brand new (hacked) profiles with no information, also asking for or giving you a number to call them, big scam alert there. I have been selling a lot lot lately on FB and its all cash, no fees.
Thanks Steve, a handle, that makes sense.
Have him contact ebay CS. You have no obligation to do anything once it was received by eBay’s international hub. Let eBay worry about it.

05/01/2023 at 10:31 pm in reply to: Giant clock, Pioneer Turntable, Hairpin barstools, Starburst TV Trays #99931I picked up a pair of modern swivel seat stools at a garage sale for $7 which will tide me over until I find a pair of vintage ones.
Yes, I’ve been noticing it for awhile.
I’ve found that joining as many FB garage, yard, rummage sale, guy stuff, antiques sales groups in your area and including them when listing get your item on other members home page instead of hoping they’ll find it through search. I belong to about 25.
I’ve been having great success with FBM as you may have seen in the What sold videos.

Thanks Zach, signing up now.

12/14/2022 at 7:24 am in reply to: Does this super vintage 70s style plastic on the lamp bases have a name? #98675I posed your question on a FB group I belong to and the answer was Folded Lucite.
I also found this via google images; They are made of spun acrylic Lucite shaped liked overlapping folds of ribbon. Some people call these “spaghetti lamps” or “candy ribbon lamps.”
Good job on the video and that’s a great idea to look behind the books at an estate sale, might find unknown treasures there.
I had no problem see photos and descriptions, are you clicking on See Original Listing?
