Some interesting sales Steve. Im glad to see vintage massagers are still selling, keep an eye out for the Genie Rub, they look like electric sanders and go for over $100.
Flat screen TV boxes work well for shipping framed art. If you have trouble scavenging those Uhaul sells boxes for art and TV’s.

Of course I’m more central in the country so that may be a factor. I’ve also done the extra handling route as well, I’ll figure the rate to the furthest destination and use that has my handling fee, you can always refund the buyer of any over charge but its tougher to get them to pay more after the sale.

Slide rules can be a surprising profit item with the right ones, one of my first big sales was in 2013, I bought a still new in box 2 slide rule Pickett set for $4 at a thrift store and it sold for $200, I was so amazed.

I haven’t had that experience with Free Local Pickup….yet. The thing I don’t like about using it as an option is that it will bump another shipping option out of showing up on the mobile app, so if Fedex is the 2nd option it doesn’t show unless you’re on a computer, only the 1st option and Local Pickup.
Tiffany swag lamp are your search terms.
I will, and if you visit let me know, we can have a coffee.
I read that Sioux Falls will be a part of that show.

04/04/2021 at 8:17 am in reply to: Scavenger Life Episode 507: The Professionalization of Online Selling #87219Was it an ebay seller that bought your cassette tapes, I’ve sold quite a few to a dr.bo who sells single tapes. By the way, those are highly prized tapes.
04/04/2021 at 8:11 am in reply to: Scavenger Life Episode 507: The Professionalization of Online Selling #87218I try and convey my proper packaging techniques when I’m listing fragile items. I’m also wary of free shipping from sellers, as I think they would skimp on proper packaging to save money.
