I’ll continue making the what sold videos and they’ll be hosted here as long as J&R want to post them. I’ll also make them public on my youtube channel and I’ll continue making public the backlog of What Sold videos of the last 6 years.
My youtube channel is https://youtube.com/channel/UCFPGRZ9cUyuqMif9AdBKN6A
Price it high but below whats listed, that amp is often converted into a guitar amp. Lots of hobbyists looking for that style.
08/10/2021 at 9:18 am in reply to: RF video modulator, Glass blocks, Trucker hat, NAPA cassette rack, Old Key lot #90231These Realistic brand tapes are low quality and not very well thought of in the R to R community. I also can get a lot of money for the better name brands.
I used to be an early birder, now its more like you for the same reason, the stuff I look for is usually still there and sellers are willing to negotiate.
I like to find the neighborhood sales so I can hit several within a few a blocks. Its always been an option for me, I never saw it disappear.
Just find a box that fits, one wheel per box, perhaps check with a tire outlet and see if they have boxes. The wheels won’t need much protection so you just need some dunnage to fill in the gaps. Fedex will probably be cheapest but it depends on your location and the buyer.
06/29/2021 at 7:12 am in reply to: Scavenger Life Episode 520: When Scavenging Goes Bad (and then Good) #89511Jay, i can sympathize with your DC trip and you can cross truck driver off your list of job possibilities (as if it was ever a thought). I’ve driven those toads and the traffic can be horrendous. I drove coast to coast for 8 years and used to get a little anxious the night before having to deliver a shipment into big cities but once into the traffic it was all forgotten. I would have trouble sleeping while parked in Barstow the night before driving into the LA basin, but after doing it a half dozen times it became routine.
Out here its the opposite for online auctions, I get a nice peaceful drive into the prairie to small towns for the auction items, but its sometimes a 2 hour trip one way so I really make sure its worth it by bidding on multiple items or passing on the whole auction.
I wouldn’t have guessed you could get that much for that tea pot. Your wait certainly was worth it on the bayonet
Thanks Sharyn
My reprimand and suspension was for trying to sell the 9v batteries, they were just regular batteries but branded with the name of the bone stimulator, I appealed and still lost.
Not worth the time and effort to list those prohibited items.
Do it at your own risk, I have tried a couple times and been reprimanded, once for a few days, I was unable to list anything. I leave them alone now.
I had a week, over $2500 in sales, lots of large expensive items sold which you’ll see in this weeks video.
