I wonder if they’ll no longer allow non sellers to see Sold prices, at first thought that would be advantageous for sellers, less comparison shopping.

Check it over, might be a blown fuse, out pre/main jumpers missing, worthwhile for parts if it’s not a cheap fix.12/04/2017 at 9:24 am in reply to: Scavenger Life Episode 337: If You Build It, You Will Have Storage #28017Great looking building. Those double doors are good for options down the road if you get into dismantling cars or appliances.

• Cost of items purchased this week $246Made an out of town trip with the dogs to look at a lamp and visit some small town antique/thrift stores.
Wasn’t impressed with the floor lamp but I liked the 2 tier shade, they let me buy it separately which was preferable as I would not enjoy trying to ship a tall floor lamp.
Was able to get a tension pole lamp for $3 from a thrift and in the next town a pair of Doc Martens for $3 and a pair of Lucchese for $10.
Had a guy call me to come look at some power amps he was selling, I got all 5 B&K amps for $40 each.11/30/2017 at 8:44 am in reply to: What Sells On eBay: Pantry boxes, leather planner cover, Krispy Kreme mugs, Dope, needle point, typewriter #27694Thanks sigal, I knew it had to be something else but didn’t come up with the correct term.

• Cost of items purchased this week $0Slow holiday week and not a lot of listing got done.
I’ve had numerous smaller dollar items sell this week so far.Oops, didn’t mean for this to land here.
My mind goes to which side of the coin I’m on….I would hate it if I was the buyer but would’ve canceled as the seller.
I think taking the buyers counter offer of $600 would’ve eased my mind about the whole thing.
I make no judgements, you have to actually be in the moment of the situation to know what feels right for you.Isn’t a local pick up sale whether or not it involves any shipping still just a local pick up transaction and not subject to eBay or Paypal protections against item not received?
I sold some huge speakers on eBay, local pick up, and at the buyers request brought them to a FedEx pack and ship, he paid them for the service. The speakers were damaged and although I did the legwork for a refund for him (no easy trick with FedEx) he was unable to open a case on eBay as it was not a shipped item as far as eBay was concerned.11/25/2017 at 5:49 pm in reply to: What Sells On eBay: Pan Am bags, hats, refrigerator dishes, lamp, egg scale, Polaroid, Angel chimes #26978There’s a pair of Red Wing boots on eBay list d as A55, might be a style number.
Check the back side of the the Boots high on the ankle, you might be able to see a size impression in the right light.11/25/2017 at 5:44 pm in reply to: What Sells On eBay: Pan Am bags, hats, refrigerator dishes, lamp, egg scale, Polaroid, Angel chimes #26977No, You rock!

• Cost of items purchased this week $112Saw a pair of Reglor chalkware figurine lamps in pristine condition but were priced too high for me at $200.
I left my number to call me if they still had them after the sale.
They called, I went to look and offered $100 but they said no less than $150. Well they should have a very high resale so I agreed, I told them to be careful pulling the masking tape off they used for a price tag, she still pulled up two small flakes off the base, she felt bad and I ended up with them for $100, now I need to look into repairing the paint chips or perhaps selling as is.
They are quite impressive, tall gypsy dancers in red.11/20/2017 at 9:54 am in reply to: Scavenger Life Episode 335: Strategizing Out of Our Own Sweatshop #26038“Oh, I love your suits. It must be a bitch finding suits size 68 extra fat and a 12 dwarf.”
11/20/2017 at 9:51 am in reply to: Scavenger Life Episode 335: Strategizing Out of Our Own Sweatshop #26037In the early nineties I bought and sold cars without a dealers license all the time.
The trick was to get the title signed but not filled out with your info on it, then when you sell you just pass the title on to the new owner.
This was in Minnesota which had a 5 car flip per year limit. -
