Don’t close your Bonanza account yet, you can recover your lost photos there.
I let a piece of ephemera go through and automatically relist this morning, same result, no photos. It’s an easy one to photograph but I’m ending all other listings set to auto relist today and relisting them myself, again.
eBay must have a panic situation on their hands, no one answers CS and I’ve seen the no photos listings while doing research. This may force me to do a 30 day listings experiment vs. GTC.

Suck that South Dakota, you’re not a very big player in the eBay world haha.
What keeps going around in my head is that my legislators did this and no one is saying anything about how they just levied another tax on the citizens of SD who wish to purchase online, they say it’s an unfair advantage for out of state online sellers, no mention of the extra cost in shipping.
All the talk is about the money the state is losing, money they didn’t have in the first place.
I’m sure they’ll spend this new income stream wisely (ha!).I have never used any of their tools, I’ve only sold 5 items on Bonanza this year, quite a drop off from years past.
I’ve considered eliminating my items on Bonanza for a while now as too many times the auto synchro doesn’t work and I end up selling the same item on eBay and have to cancel.-

The rep I talked to is one of those who really didn’t know anything other than what’s on her script, she put me on hold for a few minutes to check with support and came back with the “corrupted” comment on freshly renewed GTC items.
Hopefully she misspoke and the photos will indeed reappear. Fingers crossed but I would end any GTC listing that is to be automatically renewed today, you can do them in bulk so it’s not too time consuming.I called eBay and they’ve had other complaints. They say the listing is corrupted and will eventually disappear completely. The rep said she would send out an alert to the team. I made her aware of the huge trouble this will be for sellers with big stores.
I went ahead and ended all listing that were to renew automatically today and did a bulk relist, the phots were ok on those.I now have an item with 0 views and 1 watcher.
From a CNN Money article today
“South Dakota’s law applies only to those businesses with more than $100,000 in sales, or at least 200 transactions, in the state each year. Thirty-one states already levy online sales taxes of some sort. It remains unclear whether Thursday’s ruling will prompt them to revise their laws, or encourage the remaining 19 states to impose taxes on retailers even smaller than those affected by South Dakota’s law.
If you are buying a lot of furniture that you are having delivered to your house from a pretty big seller, you are going to start paying taxes,” said Stephanie Martz, senior VP and general counsel at the National Retail Federation.
That said, you probably won’t pay more for the artisanal products offered by small retailers on Etsy or eBay. eBay, a home to thousands of small sellers, framed the ruling as “limited to large online retailers” in a statement to CNNMoney. It also says the ruling shows “small businesses are clearly viewed differently by the Court.” Still, eBay called on Congress “to provide clear tax rules with a strong small business exemption.”Those are great points, either the states will have to work with some tax czar for internet sales or these smaller online C to C sites will have some big hurdles to jump over.
I’ve noticed for the past week or so that I won’t get any views for the day I put an item up, not the double dash which I’ve seen happen for years but just zeroes, maybe no one is looking but the 10 items I put this morning still have zero views even after I viewed it.
I drove truck back in those days with the multi state bingo plates (might be a bolo item to watch for).
We also had to keep track of the mileage we drove in each state on our daily logs.I’ve felt that way about spending when the till is near empty but every time spend big money I end up with great sales. Fear not the slow down, keep the volume turned up.
