Does anyone have experience or comparison in using the eBay app on an Android device compared to an Apple device?
I’m currently looking to buy a tablet (larger screen, easier to read, etc. compared to my iPhone 7) and I’m just curious if there are any differences with the app on Android?
Android tablets are a lot cheaper than iPads – even for a reputable Samsung Galaxy tablet – and if there is no noticeable differences in using the eBay app, I’m thinking I might as well save a few hundred dollars and go with an Android tablet.

I’ll be interested to hear what people have to say. The Android version went through a rough period late last year and I transitioned to the desktop for listing. I briefly checked it out just now – didn’t see an option for business policies or SKU. You can upload multiple pictures at a time, though, which was missing last time I used it for listing.

I’m an iPhone app user.
I found a Galaxy 7 in front of my house last winter and it still worked so I downloaded the eBay app and tried to list with it, my experience was horrible and I don’t think it was because I’m used to iPhones, the app was just making you take more steps and it didn’t seem user freindly at all.
Now with updates it might be better and I’m still going to try it out at a store again before updating my iPhone 6 to the next X model this month.
I’m sure they’ll let you download the eBay app to try it.Used iPad are cheap and pretty reliable, I have 2 and may buy a third as I’m giving one away.

Last winter was when they rolled back an update to the listing process that they claimed was causing sellers to be charged extra fees. You’re right – it was horrible and had way too much extra work involved, like cropping each picture you uploaded, etc. Their official response was that store owners should just use the desktop version and casual users should stick to the app.
Now that it seems to have updated again I’m going to start using it for drafts and pictures. We’ll see.

I much prefer the iPhone to android for listing. The picture uploading process is much easier.

I have used the Android App for the last year and a half. I have never used the Apple App so I cannot compare. For a long time I was doing everything over the phone. Then the app reverted back to the older app around Jan 2018. You had to crop each picture before you could go to the next. No auto fill on item description. When this happened I evolve to starting on the phone and finishing on the desktop (Mac).
Now we are back to the newest upgrade on the app. But my process has changed again. I start a listing on a Mac laptop. I do about 20 then take the pictures on my Samsung Galaxy S8. I finalize on the desktop (Mac). Just goes faster for me. I am sure a new process will replace my current one soon. I am always looking to save time on the listing process.
Before the App got weird and downgraded, I did everything over the phone. Now I like the final review on the 27″ screen of the desktop.
