I had a return for size and when I refunded minus restocking fee and shipping the buyer opened a case in Paypal stating item damaged and wanted all the shipping and the restocking fee.
I pleaded my case to Paypal with proof of reason messages but they sid d with buyer, I appealed and lost.Is the person in Moscow the actual eBay buyer or is it the forwarding company?
I think your in the clear as once delivered to the proper address you aren’t responsible for what happens during a forwarded transfer.
Call eBay and let them know what’s going on, if the messages are through eBay I think your safe as eBay does not cover an item after it’s been forwarded.
I wouldn’t message the buyer until after speaking with eBay.
Although you could actually tell them to return it, you won’t be out any international shipping as you sent it to a domestic address.Careful of Paypal getting involved, they are very pro buyer in my experience.
I would call Paypal customer service and explain the situation, get their take on it.They don’t allow magazines because of the advertising in them.
June numbers were not helped by a super slow last week, $330.
June 2018 $3588
Items listed in store 845
Sold 63 eBay 62 Bonanza 1
Gross sales eBay $3568 Bonanza $20
Returns 0
Highest sale $450 Marantz Amplifier
Average $57I had one of those ‘Days’ for a good find.
I was on my way back from picking up another cone shaped fireplace someone in Nebraska was selling for $20 and I popped into a thrift store in a small Nebraska town. They had just received a donation of trucker hats, 2 big boxes, $2.00 each.
I went through all of them but could only find 5 I was comfortable with getting at least $20 out of. I got them down to $8 for all five.
When I started listing them, most had solds in the 20-25 range but mine appeared unworn so I priced them at $30.
But there was one, it was red white and blue with a patch that read 76 Beef Revolution that had only 1 sold for $105. I priced mine at $110, hopefully a quick sale.I noticed about a week ago that I no longer have a badge stating Top Rated Seller on any of my listings, I am still TRS. Or was that badge just for TRS+?
I wonder why you must live 20 miles from Akron Ohio?
Especially since it’s work from home.Auctions can be kind of fun, at least they were around the turn of the century as there wasn’t much of an option.
But I think you’ll find that most buyers don’t want to wait it out, especially for clothes, they want it when they see it, auctions give a buyer time to think about it, or worse look for a buy it now listing of the same article.
This is just my opinion, but as an eBay buyer myself the only auctions I ever bid on are those with a mistake in the title and/or nobody else is looking and I get it for the opening bid.Sorry but I won’t miss it.
I listened to it a few times in 2013 then heard Ryannes interview and switched to the SL podcast and could never get through another one of their shows as the ad breaks and the non information doled out weren’t worth the effort.06/26/2018 at 11:01 am in reply to: Reading Between the Lines and Dealing with Equal "Best Offers" #43590With that many offers and some doubt about on your part as to underpricing, I would’ve suggested switching to an auction starting at your original asking price.
You had enough interest to start a possible bidding war.…or message them the item number.
06/25/2018 at 11:20 am in reply to: Scavenger Life Episode 366: How To Run A Small, Local Business #43414I am beginning to think that sellers of unique used items need a new selling platform as eBay seems to be transitioning away from those items and favors new items. Smart on their part I guess as there will be less involvement in customer dissatisfaction due to INAD cases.
06/25/2018 at 11:15 am in reply to: Please pardon this rant about sellers who charge ABSURDLY high shipping rates. #43413Ive seen this many time andhave had success messaging the seller who replied that he used calculated shipping and made a mistake. The listing was revised and I bought it.
I’d message them, ask if they saw all the photos and explain the problem eBay is having.
Might’ve been on their watch list and they did see them all.Someone on another forum said eBay told her not to fix the listings as they are working on repopulating those missing pictures.
I’ll give them another day but this is a major screw up on their part, think of the time lost for someone with hundreds of listing missIng photos.
Big time corporate eBay sellers may have some something to say about this but I’ve not heard anything yet. -
