what a great find! congrats on the sale!
I recently found a blouse by that designer that I hope to get good money for (paid $5).+1
Looks like a checkers game piece. But given that it was in a military lot, that’s probably not right.
what does the text say on the bottom. Pannard?
Now I’m pretty sure that it’s a k not an l, which would make it Sorokin, or Сорокин in cyrillic. Which is a common russian last name.

The signature definitely looks like eastern european handwriting and letters. I believe it says Соролин, which transliterates to Sorolyn in English. The other hint that makes me believe this is that after the year there is a little “p”, which is an “r” in cyrillic, and is the first letter of the word “year,” which is typically put after you write the year, at least in Ukrainian.

If it’s out of the seller’s account, is there an opportunity at a future time to get that money back if the INAD case gets resolved in seller’s favor?
03/19/2017 at 8:51 pm in reply to: Scavenger Life Episode 302: How to Deal with Dreaded eBay Scammers Lurking Everywhere!! #14844J&R, I have a question about the process you outline in the blog post. I haven’t yet listened to the podcast.
Regarding the following steps:
– But if we still disagree, we immediately accept the return to move the process along.
– The buyer has 5 days to print a label and provide tracking. If not, the case can be closed on the phone in our favor. Is this label that the buyer prints one that you have provided and paid for, or do you tell them to ship it back with their own label? I’m referring to the situation where you don’t (yet) agree with the buyer’s complaint.
Amatino,
I have the same types of color issues and I agree that they are really frustrating. I especially purchased a standalone camera with color correction settings to deal with this issue, but it didn’t really help. I have never bothered with lights and only use natural light (I have a room with skylights, and when the sun isn’t directly shining into them, the light in there is good). My new iPhone 6s has been a noticeable improvement in this area over the iPhone 4 and the standalone camera. But sometimes I just have to try out a couple of different locations and backgrounds in order to get the color at least approximately right. But sometimes I just give up and say in the description (as I did last night) something like: “Actual color of the pants is a darker blue than what you see in the photos”.
Thanks for the good suggestions.

I’m with you. Has anybody actually experienced any noticeable reduction in sales when their feedback score goes down to 99% from 100%? I didn’t. And when I’m shopping, a 99% seller looks just as good to me as a 100% seller.
03/16/2017 at 11:45 am in reply to: Sizing vintage clothing – what size do you put in title and item details? #14632I don’t sell a lot of it, but I always have a few items listed. I’ve never had issues with putting multiple sizes in the title, b/c I put the measurements in the description, plus I always say something like this in the description: “Label says size 12, but vintage clothing tends to run small. This item seems more like a present day 8 or 10. Please see measurements for fit.”
I wouldn’t recommend the iPhone 4 camera. That’s the phone I had until very recently, and it was very hit or miss in terms of photo quality for selling clothing on eBay so I mostly used a separate camera. I now have a 6s and the photos are much better so that’s what i use for eBay.

03/15/2017 at 6:14 pm in reply to: Sizing vintage clothing – what size do you put in title and item details? #14588For vintage clothing, I often put multiple sizes in the title. So if it says size 12, but seems more like an 8, then I put 8, 10 and 12 in the title, and then explain in the description. I also provide measurements.
