I have had two Subaru hats listed for a long time. Noone has said a word.. yet.
I listed it for $79.99 on Auction… We’ll see what happens.

People buy on impulse and many don’t check Amazon. The Amazon listings typically don’t have pictures or very detailed information either.

I’ve got over 300 listings for books in my Ebay store. I’ve got about 100 waiting to get donated and a bunch more to sort through.

Like anything else, it’s about supply and demand. When in doubt you can list it high and see what happens, but as a rule, the “sold” results are what really matters.
If there are others available, much cheaper, it’s probably listed high, because the seller is out of stock and doesn’t want to take down the listing. This happens a lot on Amazon.
Good Luck.
In my research I’m finding what look like modern (new), much smaller cans of Pactra that also say Testors. I’m guessing at some time there may have been a merger or takeover. Were you buying the small bottles or cans.. Thanks.
Great.. Thanks.
I appreciate the response,
I suspected ground, but the labeling and packaging is what I really wondered about.
Standard ground basically means Parcel Select?
Also does the absorbent material go inside the Ziplock bag. Can it be as simple as paper towels or is there some type of standard.
I bought one of those vintage cans of spray paint over the weekend and I want to ship it properly.
Thank you Mike.
the listing is gone now… maybe somebody got a deal… We’ll probably never know.
If you put “records” in the search box under the free section, it’s still there.
Usually too good to be true is an Email harvesting scam.., but you never know.
I see the table.. very cool. Thanks

I wonder if this is a real free ad. 20,000 free records. I can’t possibly handle this and I’ve never sold a record, so I’m going to pass.. timing in life is key.
Maybe Paul or Sigilini wants to give it a shot..
The link isn’t working. It’s in the Los Angeles Craigslist Free section 1/28.

So Cal Joe.
The problem with a buyer like this is that he was savvy enough to open another account to bypass being blocked. He might decide to open up a INAD claim for who knows why.. or he might leave a negative feedback and never mention shipping…
We all pick our battles, but sometimes being right is not enough of a reason to fight these guys.
I’m just so glad these situations are the exception to the rule.. Most sales are just money in the bank.. not a headache like this.
Yes, you made a smart move. For $3, let the guy have his day.. It’s not worth the time and hassle to fight it and probably end up paying anyway.
If the shipping cost is stated in the listing, I don’t see that the buyer should be able to make an issue out of it. The listing doesn’t say “this is what I’m paying the Post office”. It is the cost of shipping, which may include boxes, packaging etc and handling fees.
The obvious work around is free shipping, which doesn’t always benefit the buyer. Of course each item can included a handling fee, which just complicates the listing process even further. In the end the buyer is going to pay for the shipping ,one way or another.
Doublythumbs is dealing with the classic unreasonable grumpy buyer. The buyer probably called Ebay and badgered the representative into sending that message. It was an easy way to hand off the problem to the seller.
You have to remember, this buyer was blocked and created a second account to buy the item. If not the shipping, he probably would have found another reason to request money back.
I’m not changing anything, based on these type of buyers. They are out there and will exploit the system any way they can.
I haven’t been to the Long Beach Antique Swap meet in quite a while. When I did go, I got the impression that it was mostly furniture and the sellers were the people I saw buying at the Estate sales and Rummage sales.
Yes, I’m exaggerating, but I bought very little back then. I actually did better shopping at the motorcycle swap meet, which is also held at Veteran’s stadium.
Maybe now with more experience and a different set of eyes, I’d have a different opinion. It’s still a fun day, just the same and worth the trip.
