Very cool. I think maybe you did link to that post on SL a few weeks back.
The beginning of the comments was a bit confusing. I didn’t get the joke until someone made a different joke many comments down.
It would be nice to just change the handling time once and not have to edit each individual shipping policy. However, you would lose some functionality. For example, you wouldn’t be able to have a longer handling time for your bigger items that use FedEx or Parcel.
Re-reading your initial question, I see you are concerned that modifying the shipping policy will affect your other selections. That is not true. The only things that change are the options that you edit. So, whatever you have selected for US shipping, international shipping, any exclusions, etc., those don’t change if all you change is the handling time.
Oh, you have opted into business policies? Well, that explains everything.
The reason you don’t see handling time on the bulk editor is because it is now part of your business policies. Once you opt in, it’s an all or nothing sort of thing. You would have to opt back out in order to use the bulk editor.
You need to edit each shipping policy individually, and change the handling time. It’s located under the selection for US shipping. Your return and payment policies don’t need to be touched.
If you have lots of shipping policies and they are disorganized (kind of like mine), you have to be careful that you edit each one. There is a message that pops up on the right side (something like “changes in process”) that will help you keep track.
Can someone cut and paste the links? I don’t do Reddit, but I’d like to see what Ryanne has posted.
Your issue with bulk editing is strange. I never had a problem with it, but I don’t use the bulk editor for handling time now that I have business policies.
One thought is to change your browser. I know I was having problems using eBay on Internet Explorer (a year or two ago), so I switched to Chrome. Otherwise, call eBay and ask for help. Not sure that they will be able to help, though.
When I opted into business policies, the software set up the policies for me, one for each type of shipping method; One for first class, one for media mail, one for priority, etc. The first time you set it up, the software will group up your listings under the policy it matches, then you can go back and consolidate.
The issue is that it takes time for the policies to set up. If you are planning your trip in the next day or two, you won’t have time to get it set up and then change the handling time.
Also, what you are saying about it asking for a shipping method – I wonder if the process has changed. Perhaps someone who has set it up recently can speak to that.
OK, that worked. I don’t know why I didn’t see that at first.
I resisted the urge to say I was from New Joisey.
From their website, Zippo started in Bradford, PA, and I thought that their factory was there. Maybe they had another factory in Niagara Falls.
They have a museum in PA that I want to go to some day.
Someone posted a video in that thread about how to look for fakes.

I once tried to find the option to add my location, but couldn’t find it. Can I get instructions, or at least a pointer, to where I can add my state?
Doubly: In my first year of selling on eBay, I purchased a lot with many vintage lighters, maybe 4 or 5 were Zippos. Not knowing much, I listed them in groups of two or three, and they sold almost immediately. For the past two or so years, I’ve been looking far and wide for Zippos, and I did not find any that were cheap enough to flip.
I expect that the price was so high for the one you sold because of the company name on the front. It is rare to find a Zippo with the name inscribed of a smaller business.
Steve – Such a neat variety of items you sold this past week! I recently learned about the Webcore company when I bought one of their record players at an auction last year. I sold it a week or two ago.
I found this 1982 Dungeons & Dragons card set in a case with other ephemera. It’s actually 4 sets together. I decided to put them up for auction, and they sold for $37.82. I paid about $0.25.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/183623680492This Cadillac patch came out of the same case as the card set above. Didn’t sell for much, but another $9 to my sales this week. It did take some research to figure out the logo.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/183573965929Recently, someone posted in their numbers in the forum and mentioned that they recently listed a Rolls Razor in very good condition. I knew I had one, so I checked up on it. I didn’t make any changes, just closed it as-is. And then it sold a few hours later! Paid about $1, sold for $26.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/183335045206Last October, I purchased this pilates Pro Chair at the minimum bid of $1 in an online auction. I had listed everything else from that auction, but I put this off because I needed to verify that the chair was working properly. When I got back from my year end trip, I realized that I needed to list it right away to fulfill someone’s new year’s resolutions. Sold about a week or so later for $79.

Amatino – Last year, I really sped up my listing. In addition, I got much better at donating/throwing out stuff that wasn’t worth it.
I started with huge death piles at the beginning of 2018, but I really worked it. (And your challenge did help!). I also added stuff along the way, but I know that what I’ve added is worth the repair/test/research.
The point is that my death piles are only stuff that needs the repair/test/research. Nothing else is left. It’s easier to get a handle on it that way.
