I’m a programmer so I know how these things happen. However, there’s no reason ebay should fail to fix this. There is a thing called DR (disaster recovery) and every company has DR policies and annual tests of DR procedures and backups of backups, some offsite and some onsite. Ebay can fix this if they want to!
A customer messaged me on Friday that she wanted pictures of an item. I told her to check back and that it was probably just a glitch. Next day, she messaged me again. I called ebay and, wonder of wonders, got an American rep. She said that she’d never heard of the problem, blah blah blah, but that ebay was hiring more Americans for CS since they’d had so many complaints of people not able to understand the Philipino accent.
What did he buy?
Way to go! My brother retired from engineering at 58 last year and he’s got a honey business and a word-of-mouth handyman business. It seems that many people don’t know how to do even basic home repairs and so he’s had to turn away a ton of business. He could turn it into a full-time gig so easily. I think a lot of builders/carpenters/handmen don’t want to do the small jobs.
LOL, I hate that smell, but it is the smell of money too, since we turn those items into cash. I generally wash the clothes, and definitely the bedding items. We’re lucky to have a covered porch, too, where things can air out. It took weeks to eliminate the smell of cigarettes from a leather jacket but it did work.
Currently reading (actually listening to in the car during my looong commutes) “Inspector Hobbes and the Blood” which is really quirky and funny, but I’m usually into classic/old British stuff: Dickens, Trollope, Doyle, etc.
I don’t understand what people mean by wordiness. I mean a book is all words… That’s like saying your music has too many notes. My mom is always complaining when books have too much “description”. What? LOL
This kid is too young for confirmation. More like “First Holy Communion” age.
Oh yes, we have several belts and buckles listed and they sell well for us. Look at “BTS brass” on ebay. I don’t know all of the makers and maybe the maker doesn’t matter. Good keywords in your title is probably more important.

What are the dangers of shipping a bunch of matches? Would it have to go parcel select (ground)?
Jay, no wonder you love doing the numbers. It’s a Gemini thing. My mom is one too (June 10th) and she was an accountant/bookkeeper for many years, and actually loves doing taxes. Doing taxes makes other people want to puke but she adores it.
The problem with storing dehydrated food that long is that you have to eat 7 year old powdered food-like substances. Very unhealthy stuff IMHO. I guess the Mormons want to be the ones who repopulate the earth, lol. I’d rather kick off than try to survive a bunch of BS apocalypse nonsense.
It’s probably for swimming pool season. Baking soda is used to alkalize pool water. Also, Sam’s Club has 15 lb bags for $7 I think year round.
I snipe for personal items, like clothes or shoes, and only buy them cheaply. Then if they don’t fit me, or aren’t comfortable I know I can always flip them for more. Just got a nice jacket the other day for $8 shipped. I was the only bidder. I can turn around and sell it for $30 if it doesn’t fit. I’d rather resell than return and so I’ve resold several pairs of shoes.
Ephemera. 100% silk or wool, cashmere, alpaca scarves, leather or suede gloves. We did really well one time when we found commemorative lucite coasters for the Shriner’s of Hawaii which I sold singly for $50 each. Just today sold a quite small book for $67: https://www.ebay.com/itm/112964597242
