The cashiers at thrift store also like to represent their goods as incredible deals. I recently bought a 1980s Sears nativity set and the cashier talked it up and claimed it was Victorian!!! Said Sears right on the box, lol. Why do they feel the need to do this?11/11/2019 at 8:55 am in reply to: There may be a major glitch when you resist unsold items … #70477
I’ve had trouble for years with items that have recently sold showing up in drafts. I dont use drafts much so it is easy to notice them and delete them. Never bothered to report it since ebay is full of bugs.07/04/2019 at 10:05 am in reply to: Fathead Pizza – keto. Unbelievably easy and similar to real pizza crust! #64511
I do some fasting now. Don’t eat until 2pm most days except for cup of tea (sugar, cream, collagen) in the morning. I recently ditched a major splenda addiction and my health is definitely better for it. Have you read Dr. Fung’s book on Fasting? I once did a 3 day fast and it wasn’t bad at all since I had been doing alternate day fasting at that time.
Seems that no matter what regimen you use your body eventually gets used to it and then it helps to change things up. It’s good to skip most breads anyway since all of the glyphosate residue found in conventional grains. So scary what they are doing to the food supply. Good luck on your diet!07/03/2019 at 8:57 am in reply to: Fathead Pizza – keto. Unbelievably easy and similar to real pizza crust! #64451
There can be downsides to going too low on the carbs. I used to do 20 per day and my cravings for carbs never went away. It can negatively impact your thyroid and other hormones. 50 – 100 is much more doable and, I think, healthier in the long run. I need to get back on the diet but I truly hate it, argh!
Hahahaaaaa, how about lotting them up? Someone will like them.
I think it does help. I’ve had some less than stellar experiences with airbnb so now I look for the superhosts and book with them if possible.
I think, on your computer, you can change the region code from 2 to 1 and play them ok. Just google how to do it.
We moved here because my hubby works for the Forest Service and took a transfer! I really hated it at first. I literally cried the first time I saw Elizabethton, lol. So very different from the Chicago burbs where we had been living. But I’m well used to it now. It’s very quiet out here and the scenery can’t be beat.
@daisy I wasn’t a scavenger in Chicago unfortunately so I can’t compare. Well, when I go home to visit if it is garage sale season I’ve been known to hit up a few and we’ve done pretty well from that.
Funny, we built a log cabin between Elizabethton and Hampton and are only 10 minutes from the lake. That’s another reason we decided to emulate Jay and Ryanne and start up a vacation rental. The appalachian trail runs along the lake there and there are lots of hostels to serve the hikers. Building this cabin was easily the most stressful thing we’ve done.
Yay! Back by popular demand!
Amazon does that to me but never seen it on Ebay.
I’m near Elizabethton and came from Chicago. Surprised that you find good clothes to sell around here!
Hi Wellspring – I’m an East TN transplant too. We don’t sell a lot of clothes, mostly home goods and oddments. Aren’t the rummage sales here fantastic? What town are you near?
