Hahahaaaaa, how about lotting them up? Someone will like them.
I think it does help. I’ve had some less than stellar experiences with airbnb so now I look for the superhosts and book with them if possible.
I think, on your computer, you can change the region code from 2 to 1 and play them ok. Just google how to do it.
We moved here because my hubby works for the Forest Service and took a transfer! I really hated it at first. I literally cried the first time I saw Elizabethton, lol. So very different from the Chicago burbs where we had been living. But I’m well used to it now. It’s very quiet out here and the scenery can’t be beat.
@daisy I wasn’t a scavenger in Chicago unfortunately so I can’t compare. Well, when I go home to visit if it is garage sale season I’ve been known to hit up a few and we’ve done pretty well from that.
Funny, we built a log cabin between Elizabethton and Hampton and are only 10 minutes from the lake. That’s another reason we decided to emulate Jay and Ryanne and start up a vacation rental. The appalachian trail runs along the lake there and there are lots of hostels to serve the hikers. Building this cabin was easily the most stressful thing we’ve done.
Yay! Back by popular demand!
Amazon does that to me but never seen it on Ebay.
I’m near Elizabethton and came from Chicago. Surprised that you find good clothes to sell around here!
Hi Wellspring – I’m an East TN transplant too. We don’t sell a lot of clothes, mostly home goods and oddments. Aren’t the rummage sales here fantastic? What town are you near?
I’m curious about the same thing. Should you leave bad reviews and charge people for ruining or losing things? I’m sure everyone does charge for lost keys but what about other things?
Whenever someone gives me a sob story, like how they are saving up for an operation, I just say me too. I have a bad heart, me too. I need a hip replacement, me too. Etc.
Hi Dianne – Welcome from some east TN scavengers! I lost my mom last October and it’s rough. Sorry about your mom.
Thanks for the tips!
