I’m curious about the same thing. Should you leave bad reviews and charge people for ruining or losing things? I’m sure everyone does charge for lost keys but what about other things?
Whenever someone gives me a sob story, like how they are saving up for an operation, I just say me too. I have a bad heart, me too. I need a hip replacement, me too. Etc.
Hi Dianne – Welcome from some east TN scavengers! I lost my mom last October and it’s rough. Sorry about your mom.
Thanks for the tips!
Rayanne, what is your opinion on cotton vs microfiber sheets in your rentals. Do you stick with all white linens so you can bleach them?
I’m really sad that you’re not making any more Shampoo & Booze podcasts. Would love to keep hearing about that business. We’ve been renovating a 1967 Airstream and plan to put it on glamping hub or airbnb or vrbo or…
Which of those sites do you like best? Which might be best for a vintage airstream? Thanks!
It varies from 20 to 50 per month. The first rep said that it was FedEx labels, but the totals dont match. The second one said it was fvf on shipping but that can’t be right since some months have no shipping fee. The 3rd one said it was something that they didn’t used to itemize until recently and that is completely wrong too.
The first one must’ve been right. Thanks everyone!01/30/2019 at 2:31 pm in reply to: Scavenger Life Episode 395: What Lifestyle Is eBay Supporting For You? #56168
We’ve been Kondoing our stuff too. Never thought I’d be folding underwear and honestly I don’t know how long that will last. I don’t understand the whole “sparking joy” thing either, but we need to downsize and the show did spark tossing/thrifting. Now that I’m retired I actually have time to do stuff like that.
I didn’t know you could do this. Thanks for sharing!01/06/2019 at 12:57 pm in reply to: Funny to me – low ball offers with folksy messages #54624
I took an offer on an already low-priced hat and the buyer also wanted a refund of any overage on shipping. I agreed like a schmuck. I recognized her town so looked at her house on google street view and it’s a fancy schmancy house in an expensive neighborhood. I had to laugh as I refunded her 1.74 for shipping overage. Some people are just so effin cheap.
Maybe send it to the local auction house?
LOL Frog! I’ve been to England several times and saw how readily people throw off their clothes and lay down anywhere (nearly) when the sun is shining. Could always pop a Vitamin D3 capsule I guess but it won’t brown you.
I just did a refund this morning and the option to not include original shipping was still there. However, it was a rug, not an INAD. The day before I did a refund on shoes that did not fit and, again, the option to not include original shipping in the refund was there.
I’ll stop selling clothes and shoes if ebay institutes such an asinine policy.
I love this idea. Please let us know what you leave.
Thanks for recommending Zumbo’s. I get the best Netflix recommendations from Scavenger life forums. Great unintended consequences.
