@joemezzz, thanks for your kind words. I don’t know about the banner size. I just uploaded a fun pic when they told me to lol. Ooh, I think you’re right about the SS. I recall hearing some friends moan about that very thing.
@ChristineR – when you post to Pinterest do you have a category for selling stuff, or just something labeled “cool stuff”, or…?
Thanks Jay. I’ve been a computer programmer for 30 years. I enjoy the work but it takes all my time and it’s a long commute and it’s all sitting which kills my butt.😃
Don’t have to do much at this point because I can start withdrawing money from my 401 K’s when I turn 59 and a half which is only in about seven months. We’ve got FU money, ebay income, a vintage airstream rental coming online next spring, and I plan to draw social security when I turn 62.
Mom was a world traveler and did a lot of fun things so she did have a pretty good life.
Thanks very much!

We’re probably going live with our vintage Airstream vacation rental next year so it was time to get our financial house in order. I have to figure out how to put in cogs but so far it has sucked in all of ebay and paypal transactions. Anyone else use this? How do you enter your inventory costs?
We had some really great sales lately which was a welcome shock. Here’s a watercolor we picked up at a yard sale for $3 and sold for $350!

https://www.ebay.com/itm/113183482400I second the notion of not buying more land than you need. We have 7 acres and spend a lot of gas, time and money mowing, weed whacking and otherwise maintaining it. We like the buffer from neighbors/noise but still bit off more than we need to chew. We get a lot of rain here so mowing is a 3 season chore.
Ugh, strep is the worst. Get well soon Ryanne, we miss your voice!
Got these brain teaser puzzles at a rummage sale for 50 cents, sold for $25. I think the draw is that they are marked Compaq Microsoft:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/113155042293These sheets were a gift but we never liked the color, sold for $40:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/113080912462This Dragon Alliance belt was only 50 cents at a rummage sale, sold for $37. Took me ages to figure out what the logo is. They are a snowboarding company.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/112976039628These NIP Hotwheels came from the auction house for $13. They took a long time to sell for $48:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/112060766197These military buttons also came from the auction for about $3, sold for $19:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/113137104883Got this copper & wrought iron little cauldron at a yard sale for a buck, sold for $19. It’s pretty cool, maybe should have priced it higher?
https://www.ebay.com/itm/113155098714Reversible silk blouse/shirt from one of those fill-a-bag sales, so less than $1, sold for $17. I hate doing clothes. Much prefer hard goods.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/113155098714Except that this one was pretty awesome. Leather coat for roughly $1 turned into $126:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/112225210237Interesting, thanks!
What’s the deal with old Asics running shoes? Are people collecting them, or is it a fashion trend?
Hi Laura – Welcome to the epicenter of scavenging!
Paul, I never said he was cured of Down’s Syndrome. I specifically said he still had it. I apologize if I misled you somehow.
So it would definitely take a toll on you emotionally. I’ve heard John Edward say the same thing. I was also raised Catholic but I’m an agnostic/atheist these days (and I’m a programmer too). I think organized religion, with their man-made rules and regulations, have completely corrupted spiritual thinking. I wonder if there is a way to separate spirituality (your experiences) from religiosity (man-made BS) and where exactly the dividing line is.
@Beverly – It sounds like you are a psychic medium. Not to be nosy or anything but, here I go being nosy: why sell stuff on ebay when you could probably make a big pile of money doing readings for people? That would be a lot less grueling than ebay, right? 🙂
