Mike – I deleted mine after only a short time with them because the sync with my ebay store was buggy and they usually didn’t notify me when something sold. Not worth the bother.
@Jay – Again I must point to India. They use it because it works, the results are repeatable. However, choosing the right remedy is part art and part science. Poorly trained homeopath doesn’t always choose correctly. You know that Wikipedia is not to be trusted absolutely. There are some placebo controlled, double blind studies being done on Homeopathic remedies. Here’s just one: http://journals.plos.org/plosone/article?id=10.1371/journal.pone.0118440&utm_source=April2015ebook&utm_campaign=2015April-ebook&utm_medium=email
Science can’t explain everything YET, but they are beginning to understand how water can hold onto energy almost like a memory. Once they understand how this works I think that will explain why homeopathy works. Anyone who wants to read more about this just google Banerji protocols. And my homeopath is Joette Calabrese. She does a lot of teaching online and has a great library of articles & podcasts. It’s not all woo woo and patchouli incense. Just practical advice.
Beverly – This is fascinating! So where do you stand on the question of God? I mean, forgetting any religious brainwashing you may have had as a child, and going solely on your own experiences: do you believe there is a great spirit that cares what happens on this planet?
Jay – I’m here to say that Homeopathy definitely works. But! You have to have a practitioner who can guide you to the right remedies. My homeopath saved me from 3 surgeries, but she’s expensive! Now that I know those remedies (for swollen thyroid, diverticulitis, gallstones) if they ever rear their ugly heads again I have the remedies at home and they are very affordable.
A friend of mine has a son with Down’s Syndrome. He was completely non-verbal and was covered with horrible acne scars. Homeopathy was able to turn those things around. He still had DS but he began to speak in full sentences. The acne cleared up and even the scars filled it. Unheard of!
Please don’t discount homepathy. Look at the extensive use they make of it in India. That’s because it works, but again, you need a really good homeopath to choose your remedies.

We were just leaving a rummage sale when one of the church ladies said ‘did you see that vitamix blender’. What!?! No, we hadn’t seen it because it was all packed up in a blank box. Bought the blender for $50 and this extra dry container for grinding grains was included. We are keeping the rest of the Vitamix and selling our old KitchenAid. So we got a fancy new blender for free, yay! https://www.ebay.com/itm/113155048284

– Old English makes a lemon oil with stain in it which is handy for quick touch-ups.
– Bar Keeper’s Friend – has oxalic acid in it which helps remove hard water deposits.
– Sharpies of many colors.
– Oxy Clean for soaking out stains. I let things soak for a week before laundering. Even gets old placemats clean.
– various glass rasps/files for removing sharp/rough edges
– Mean Green spray cleaner – this stuff really cuts through the crud!08/03/2018 at 1:31 pm in reply to: Random Photo: a glitch? Has been reported, just be on the lookout #46781Wow, I am finding this hilarious! Not only do they lose legitimate photos of our items but now they are inserting random photos from someone else’s listing. Amazing programming skills!
We had a buyer who tried the switcheroo on an expensive dryer part we sold to him. Since I had photos of the serial number/upc code of the before & after ebay did eventually make us whole. I did have to fight long and hard though. I eventually got someone on the phone (a supervisor) who refunded me the $250. I like the Amazon verbage and if you fear that someone will do this with one of your items I would definitely put that in the description. I think it would be enough to deter many.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/112003428806Got these for $3 at a rummage sale and sold for $100. I have to thank someone on the forum who mentioned that ginger jars are popular now. I had these priced lower so I went into the listing and upped the price and added ginger jars to the title. Also, these had original price tags on the bottom for $30 each and I removed those. Am I a scammer? The brand is Jane Seymour… https://www.ebay.com/itm/112964583315
Here’s the owners manual/recipe book that came with an Instant Pot that we bought on ebay for cheap and parted out. We sold the lid separately for $30 and kept the inner pot as a spare for our IP. So this item was basically free and sold for $15: https://www.ebay.com/itm/112840649588
Plus a few other small sales. Glad to see that things are picking up finally.
I don’t know if it is handmade. It reminds me of a quilt too.
I do intermittent fasting as well. Currently have a 5 hour eating window from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Losing 1 pound a day doing this. Jason Fung is awesome, he’s got a practice in Toronto Canada where he helps people with type 2 diabetes reverse the condition through fasting.
The thick ones are from diners/restaurants and are more valuable because of that. Here are some that sold: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Vtg-Mid-Century-Fire-King-Jadeite-Heavy-Restaurant-Ware-C-Handle-Cups-amp-Saucers-/113129914164?hash=item1a57117f34%3Ag%3AV18AAOSwPkJbPWQj&_sacat=0&_nkw=fire+king+cups+24+26&LH_Complete=1&_from=R40&rt=nc&LH_Sold=1&LH_TitleDesc=0%7C0&nma=true&si=pqwcTORi8MIFN3WnB6bWKkjk%252FKU%253D&orig_cvip=true&nordt=true&_trksid=p2047675.l2557
Here’s another good salt & pepper set to look for. https://tinyurl.com/y9jyhohs
This is the sort of thing I used to pass right by with a sneer, but they go for good money!IMHO they should already have the FINAD barrier in place.
Ashana, if you like glassware you might want to check out a couple of YouTube channels. One is real Nifty vintage, and the other is Scott’s old curiosity shop. They both seem knowledgeable.
