Just a couple comments: As to the change from 90% tracking to 95% tracking for TRS: remember, this is the TRS tracking requirement, not the Seller Performance requirement. If you use ebay labels, this just requires you to print out the label within the required time period…this isn’t the rule about acceptances, etc. So, if I have one day shipping, and buyer buys on Monday, as long as I print the label out on Tuesday—even if I don’t actually ship it till Wednesday—I meet this requirement.
As to the $30 for Promoted Listings. eBay is currently running a beta for one-offs, at least in certain categories. It seems likely we will eventually see at least some categories allowing one offs. The beta is supposed to run through April I think. While $30.00 per quarter is not a huge amount, it might be enough to persuade more people to at least experiment with promoted listings, which is probably eBay’s goal.

This from Kathy Terrill’s blog:
Currently Promoted Listings are only available to eBay store owners with multi quantity items. There is a Beta test going on for unique one of a kind items. To be considered for this Beta test go to Promoted Listings under the Marketing Tab in your eBay Seller Hub dashboard. You must apply to be considered. To apply go to Promoted Listings in Seller Hub. It’s under your Marketing tab
CLICK it . Find “Give us feedback”.Give Us Feedback in Promoted Listings Dashboard
It’s all the way to right of the page in Promoted Listings. Click it. Say something like ” Hi I’d like to be in your beta test for one of a kind items.”
According to my eBay contact, ” from the time the seller sends us the request to be considered for the beta group, it may take up to a week to get added to beta. We will confirm via email once they are accepted. They can share this info with their friends/colleague. However, we cannot guarantee that everyone will be accepted.”Oh my stars and garters! I didn’t even know there was such a thing as “Granny Chic” LOL
02/24/2017 at 9:39 am in reply to: What Sells On eBay: Projection screens, HeathKit clock & Voltmeter, 8 Track Quadraphonic recorder, Patagonia jacket #13228steve, The album would have sold for a decent price on its own…its really neat souvenir album. But if it had been in terrible shape, I think it would have sold for the same amount because of the photos themselves. The more information you can provide about the photos in an album (or individual photos) the better, but mostly its the images that make the sale.
Yeah, I wonder if you are in a beta program of some sort? I had asked about this a little while ago (I think it was on eBay’s “Weekly Chat”, and ebay did indicate changes were coming to the program, and hinted that at least some categories would be opened up to one-offs. Were ALL categories open to you, or just some?
BTW, I checked mine, and I still have the multiple item listing requirement.
I’m guessing sizes that would fit men.
WhiteNileVintage,
This blog post from ebay’s Business blog is short on details, which I’m sure will come at a later date, but here’s a link and a short quote that suggests ebay DOES understand that fraudulent returns are a pain point for sellers:
http://community.ebay.com/t5/eBay-for-Business/Our-2017-Game-Plan-for-Seller-Success/ba-p/26582650
. We also intend to start taking a stronger stance on the kinds of experiences that keep buyers from coming back—as well as protect you, our sellers, from buyers who take unfair advantage of returns.
So Cal Joe—Holy Smokes, that’s great! I’m guessing you are going to do quite well with that! I need to get through my death piles…well, death storage units…before I would have space for that size haul, but maybe some day….

Hard to tell from the photo…is that home dinnerware, or is it the heavier stuff used in diners and restaurants back in the day?
