Cha-ching ringing out at church can also be awkward. 🙂
These are all so funny! And proof that there’s just no accounting for taste–especially with the hat.
What made the hat so desirable??? What was on it?
The buyer probably had a mastectomy.
My friend found a styrofoam duck decoy’s broken off beak in the bottom of a box of duck decoys. There was no duck to match it with a broken off beak. So she listed the BEAK on Ebay and sold it for $6! That’s so random. LOL!
That is so totally weird. I would never have realized that! Now, will I ever see one? And remember to get it??? Here’s hoping!
Maybe someone could invent a roll of stickers (like red FRAGILE stickers) that say ‘URGENT: PLEASE SCAN IMMEDIATELY”. Neh. They ignore the Fragile stickers too.

I have been fearful of trying your workaround–will it also work for bigger packages that have to go via Fedex Home Delivery??? Aren’t you having to list your items with Priority shipping costs? And even Parcel Post/Select is much more expensive usually than a Fedex option, and they won’t ship to PO Or UPO boxes. You have around 6K listings compared to my 1K listings, so you have a lot more PO Box buyers than I do. As you know, it’s easier to sell if shipping costs are lower, so I think missing an occasional PO Box sale is worth it overall. On first class packages I don’t block PO Boxes–just items where I want to use Shipsaver or Fedex Home Delivery; mostly nonfragile, over 16 oz. items. I sell a lot of bulky items like quilts and bedspreads, and those have to go fedex Home Delivery for the cheapest rates usually. It’s a dilemma.

Just don’t use them for Smartpost–that is delivered by the USPS and they will charge you for Priority upon delivery.

03/23/2017 at 9:39 am in reply to: Scavenger Life Episode 302: How to Deal with Dreaded eBay Scammers Lurking Everywhere!! #15128I mainly block those locations due to the fact that shipping costs a lot more there. I block P.O. Boxes and such because you can’t ship there usung Smartpost.

I have my shipping preferences set up to exclude US protectorates to avoid potential hassles like Puerto Rico, which for example lost electric power in the whole country for 2 days recently. I don’t deal with third world type countries at all.
When I’m not sure I price it at what I want but put it on auction the first time I list it just to give it a chance to sell for more. If it doesn’t sell the first time out I just relist it as BIN.
I’m exhausted just reading this and trying to wrap my head around it. Why doesn’t Ebay just leave us the H___ alone and let us do our job? Like Stop Bugging us with all these annoying, rediculous “improvements”??? THIS IS EBAY PEOPLE, NOT AMAZON. I intend to fully ignore all of it.
